but when I clicked the "Details Page" button at the bottom it tried to take me to Box 0 (and I got the 404 not found)

Whoops! Sorry about that! It should be fixed now. =)

Is it a valentine?? That's what mine says too, and I believe it was the AQ calendar, in my case. Thanks GT, and Happy Valentine's Day to you, too!!

Then someone hacked your account, because I see an order from your account for a whistle and muggle cards last September. ;o)

And I'll tell you, that took longer than anything else by a long shot! Enjoy it! I definitely don't think I'll be doing that part every year! =)

But it really did make the stamp pop!

Hi Everyone,
We are cruising to Alaska this June on the Celebrity Solstice. We would like to plant a box aboard but haven't got a "clue" about how to do it. Any suggestions, ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

I ran a simple search with 'cruise ship' in the name of the box and got several intriguing boxes.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

Advanced search - bug?

I am trying to save a search - active boxes, 20 mi radius, to include my finds, and exclude red and blue tags. The search results appear correctly, but the saved search when restarted shows the red and blue tags.

I should add I am checking "and not blue and red" but when I hit save search, it is saving it as active, blue or red.

Hitch Hikers & Box Maintenance

I have a question…

When it's time to start doing letterbox maintenance on my personal planted letterboxes what is the code of conduct if a hitch hiker is found?

I am a sucker for these little guys and I am so happy when I find one while on my hunts, that it would be pretty hard to resist if one was found in one my plants while doing repairs.

Please give me some advice, I want to make sure I am following the rules and doing this correctly.

(A) Do I take it with me and plant it when I go on my next hunt?

or

(B) Do I leave it for the next boxer who visits my plant?

Thanks so much~

I think either is acceptable. Early on I would have been excited to take it and move it along, but now I usually just log it in my book and leave it for the next finder. Unless it is an older box with fewer recent finds, in which case I might take it in order to prevent it from sitting for too long. As a new planter, this situation won't affect you for a while.

People want their HHs moved along, so feel free to take it and move it along yourself! :^) Just remember to stamp it in your box's logbook first, if the person who put it there didn't already do so.

Either, and C:

Stamp it in your book, and log it as found, and where, but leave it in the box. I do that sometimes. Don't stamp your stamp into the book if you are not moving the HH. It fills the logbook up before it gets anywhere.

What is going on?

As of this evening, wherever I am on AQ I keep getting ads. For example, if I open My Page, everything looks fine for a second, and then random words are underlined twice. If I hover over the underlined word, an ad pops up. This happens on searches, messages, clues. Is there a bug in AQ, or have aliens taken over my computer?

Yes, insidious aliens known as "Adware"! What you are describing is what commonly happens when your computer has been infected with malignant software. You probably accidentally downloaded it recently. Look for any new "toolbars" on your browser that may be the culprit. At any rate, run any decent virus software to get rid of it.

If you really want to see ads brought to you by AtlasQuest, you'll need to actually go to a clue page, but based on the recent tracker conversation, far too many people use AQ for all sorts of other things to be bothered with going outside to find a real live letterbox.

'Notes' display

Thread
Hi -

I keep information in the 'notes' section on myself - when I signed into AQ this morning, everywhere that my trail name is visible (mailbox - I also send myself mail!, trackers, planters, etc) the entire contents of the note is also displayed.

Here's the page for my sent trackers:
http://www.atlasquest.com/results.html?typeId=101;subFlags=8;sort=5;tags=2

Is there any way to change this beyond deleting my note?
Thanks for any info -
