... Kirbert, why even bring it up? We may be only dreaming. "Jam yesterday and jam tomorrow, but never jam today."

Without dreaming, I'd be tempted to give up this pastime for good. Carving OZ is certainly not my idea of fun. If something better doesn't come along soon, I'm probably going to have to take up knitting or bridge.

Ooh, I printed 3 patterns a work today. Going to try the heat method. I've always just used pencil & rubbing so far. This will be easier if it works. Won't have to trace all those fine lines.

I watched the carving videos too. I agree the hardest part for me is deciding what to cut out and what to leave. Just messed up my tin man-left his body armor but cut out his hat. At least it's for an LTC so I can make it work.

No!! I didn't mean to guilt the puffin!! Really I didn't! I'm just trying not to get my hopes up or live in the past. I know you are working diligently and spending money trying to make us all happy. I just think someone new has to learn to work with w...

Just opened a new package of pink stuff, did a heat transfer on it & started carving. Perfect. Firm & no crumbles. I think it's the best pink stuff I've ever carved on. Got it at Hobby Lobby about a week ago.

The GREAT Pink Stuff that was sent to me directly from Speedball was labeled 2012. So I really don't think the label is what defines the quality.

I'll be making it clear that the label needs to change sometime after the bugs are worked out and the product is what it needs to be. Anyone who has been burned by the lousy batch is going to be hesitant to ever buy any more Speedy-Carve with the 2012...

I'm hesitant period. That stuff just sucks no matter what year is on it. It holds no fine detail at all. It's just too unreliable for my liking. Don't waste your money and just buy from Webfoot.

I got lucky at Hobby Lobby the other day and found a 4x6 slab from 2009 :) The newly stocked slabs are dated 2012 :( I did buy one and it's crumbly. Getting by on what I have until I can get some new supply.

I have a bunch of 2009, and am having no luck with fine details. Are you?

I'll have to dig around & find the label. I though of that after I posted last night. At work now so it will be later today. Check back.

This is directed at no one person in particular, but it needs to be said. For everyone complaining about not being able to carve details on pink, I've been carving exclusively on pink since PZ went scarce. Any LTCs of mine dated 2010 or later? Carve...

I've seen a lot of fantastic stamps carved in pink. Those are great, I've seen some great pink stamps by Mim, and nosox has a ton (I think literally) of highly detailed stamps carved on pink (just to identify a few). But I don't like pink. I carve to...

... I have always loved pink actually and previously had no problem with detail, but the new stuff that i have been getting dated after 2012 does crumble for me and no longer allows for my detail. Now if I had never been able to get detail on it then t...

All that being said...yes i agree some great stamps have been created off of the pink. But none of those stamps will be getting carved on the pink available in Fairbanks.

... It's also been suggested to use Staz-On Mustard to accentuate the difference between carved and uncarved areas. If that doesn't work well on pink then I may have to try orange PZ. ... Ahh, true confessions :) Again a wonderful suggestion for me...
