Dave and I took a trip to this beautiful city for Canada Day.
We are happy to report that our box on nearby Ile d'Orleans is intact.
There have been 3 other boxes planted closer to the city - "Poutine", "Pink Bullet" and "Stairs with a View". The first two seem to be now MIA. If anyone goes to the city, please check on "Stairs with a View" discreetly(it was too busy the day we were there for a thorough search) and pass on the information to the planter. The clues for this box can be found at letterboxing.org.
Can't wait to get back to Canada.

I have just returned from a trip to Quebec (Aug. 2006) and found the von der Insel's box on the Ile d'Orleans (it accompanies a terrific view) and also the Stairs with a View box
in the heart of downtown Quebec City. I notified the placer (Charmcity) of their box alive
and well after 3 years under the stairs but the altoids box is getting a bit rusty. Stamp is cool though, very Quebecois. Thanks to these out of town placers for out and about letterboxers like me. S.P.

Hello letterboxing friends...

I will be visiting Canada next week and would like some ideas for boxes to check out and to see if any letterboxers would like to get together for a cup of coffee, an exchange, mini-get together??? I'll arrive on Weds. night and leaving on Saturday.

Looking forward to my visit!

After doing your boxes in Vt. I did the boxes in Quebec. One is by the Citadel and the other is on
the Ile D'Orleans (a 20 min drive out of the city). This is really worth the trip. A blue diamond if you will. S.P.

The Oh Baby! Boxes are at the summit of Mont Tremblant, however, with ski season, I'm not sure that they are accessible. We tried for Little Bear Letterbox back in 2005 and was unable to find it.

Thanks, Music Woman!

We attempted to find the two boxes from Z Crew, but the snow proved a formidable adversary. We were forced to wait and try again in the summer/fall.

Bonjour mes amis.....

Happydaze from Maine will be heading to the Montrael area for 3 days. We are wondering if there are any letterboxes we should attempt to find. There are not too many on LBNA and none on this site.
Any assistance would be helpful.

Thanks.

Bonjour Happydaze!

There are two at Mont Tremblant which I would suggest. We tried to find them while Alpine skiiing this past January, but alas, they were too deeply buried in snow. We hope to get back there soon to find them.

Run this search on AQ to find the Quebec boxes: http://www.atlasquest.com/lboxes/results.html?gTypeId=6;gSort=1;gStateId=1281;gCountryId=112

Bonne chance et amusez-vous bien! Good luck and have fun!

When you go and get the two at the summit of Mont Tremblant, go towards sunset. The sunset is magnificent from up there!

I wish those two boxes were there when I was at MOnt Tremblant back in 2005.

We had to list this box as a Mystery because I could not input any of the place names or addresses, or even Quebec, Que in the Location as I tried to register the box. When you go to the clues it directs you to the clue page at LBNA which shows that the box is indeed in Quebec City.

coming to visit Montreal

Our family will be vacationing in Northern VT in July and we plan on driving to Montreal for a day trip. We would love to look for some letterboxes on the way and in Montreal. Does anyone have any suggestions - we have two young children, so the boxes need to be child friendly. Thank you!

To anyone who checks this board with any regularity... I live in the Montreal area and have begun populating the city with a few boxes of my own creation. (Just two at the moment.) Anyone else on the boards living around here?

I've been watching this board.

I live in Florida, but my husband and I are talking of driving to Montreal this March to visit a friend.

Right now, it's just talk. He's not sure if he can get the time off from work.

We were in Montreal BLB (before letterboxing) years ago. It's a beautiful city, and I look forward to going back.

But my husband rolled his eyes when I mentioned bringing my letterboxing gear.

But that long on the road, I'm sure he'll appreciate getting out to stretch his legs

=0)

We're driving up from Boston around Thanksgiving. We love the city and it will be our son's first time. We'll have to check out your boxes. Any other suggestions from Boston (actually Newburyport, MA) to Montreal?

Good morning neighbors. Does anyone know if I can buy 222s (Tylenol w/ codeine) at Costco or do I need to find a pharmacy?
If they're only available in pharmacies, is there on near Ikea?
Thanks,

In Ontario, it's over-the-counter from a pharmacist. It's probably the same in Quebec.

Yes it does. Canada uses the same 3G/LTE technology as the USA so you can get an internet connection just fine. Just be sure to get a roaming package from your phone company before you go or it will cost you $$$. (Or just download all the clues before you go.)
