You'll still get the stamp, just not the double find in the same location.
Instead of box of the month this location is becoming box of every couple years.

I'll be visiting Cheyenne, WY over the next few days. Does anyone know where the box of the month is? I'm flying in to Denver tomorrow and will stay in Cheyenne.

Thanks

Hey Schizo ... try sending an AQ mail directly to Celestini - I think she handles that box. I've never gotten it, so can't help you with the locale, but I plan to get up there soon and do some serious boxing! :)

p.s. see you later today!!!

The new listing for my Escapade box in Gillette is now officially active. Same location, new and improved stamp honoring this year's Escapee Escapade (the last one was in 2008 with a stamp in honor of that specific event). This year our own Pappasky will be doing a letterboxing seminar at an Rvers event. Looking to see finds from some really new boxers after that.

We thought we were going to do it last year, but wound up needing to replace our van, so it looks like we will be doing a road trip from San Jose to Cheyenne in July! We'll be taking I-80, with the only "mandatory" stop being in Rock Springs, where our youngest was born. We'll probably try to plant a box there if we can find a good spot (we're open to suggestions). We're not sure if we're going to stop on the way for one night or two- still trying to figure that out. Reno seems too soon to stop for the night. Wendover seems too far to do in one day. By the time we're in Salt Lake it seems we may as well just make it to Rock Springs. Nothing really in between Reno and Wendover, is there? (Guess this is the WY board though, not the on-the-way-to-WY board!)
Anyway- anyone with suggestions for stops along the way for letterboxing or other fun, we'd appreciate it!

This is so weird......Dbare and I are headed to Wyoming at the end of June.....

I suggest that on the way to SLC, you go off of I-80 to Fallon, NV. GreenJello has several (and all awsome) around there!!

Dbare and I are headed to Wyoming at the end of June...

We have to stick around for a family wedding June 30, but we're leaving asap after. Still planning the details, obviously. Mostly hoping to have the boys not kill each other with so much time in the car --and hoping for enough diversions to keep everyone entertained while keeping us moving toward our destination and and back in time for Obi-Mon to get back to work by mid-July! Fun fun!

I just did the trip planner with 5 miles off- so many to choose from! I think I'll need to visit the Utah board for suggestions as well.

Sweep and I will also be in Wyoming the end of June. We have to be in Casper June 30 but haven't decided the other days where we will be. Cheyenne is high on out list as we used to live there and so it is always fun to go back. We will also be in Gillette as that is where Sweep's parents live. It would be fun to meet up if it works out.

After talking with the family our plans are starting to shape up a bit. Looks like we'll get to Rock Springs the 3rd or 4th, be there for the 4th of July and stay for a couple days. Then we'll head to Cheyenne on the 6th and spend a few days there. From there we're putting ourselves in the hands of much more experienced wilderness folks who know the area like the backs of their hands. We'll be taking our van/their truck and camping and exploring Lake Louis, Glendo, Shoshoni, Hoback, Jackson, etc...and eventually we'll part ways and start heading back to CA around the 15th. Now that they know we're up for the challenge (meaning the adults are- the kids think we're nuts and they're just going to have to deal with it! :-) the Wyomingans (is that right?) are going to plan out the camping side of things and we'll talk more in a few weeks.

Hi WY boxers,

The hubs and I are planning a camping trip this summer and it looks like we are going to camp at the willow campground in Medicine Bow NFP. We would appreciate any recommendations as to local attractions, cools stuff, good hikes, restaurants, etc. I would also like boxing recommendations...I'm sure I can sneak some letterboxing into the trip. Thank you!

Hi there!
We are in the beginning stages of planning a trip to western Wyoming, and would love some suggestions! Our hope is Yellowstone and Tetons, but we have done the major tourist route before, and would like to add some off beat, different, and interesting places to our itinerary this time around.

If anyone has suggestions on places to go/see, hikes not to miss, etc... We'd love to hear them!

Thank you! :)
