I am also planning a trip to VT after being away for 12 years. I'm looking at the end of August and would be staying in the Lake Champlain area (camp at Georgia Shores). I didn't get to meet any letterboxers last time I was there because there weren't many at that time, but I have been following the progress you guys have made out there since then and it is impressive! I'd love to meet up with some of you over a creemie or maybe a scoop of Ben & Jerry's

"Unless its in Andover, MA, then we're too busy for you!"

ditto!

"Either that, or we just won't be there!"

Snicker, snicker. Just a little jab there. And there.

And for those in the dark, I'm sarcastically saying that I didn't get to see/spend much time with either commenter there. ;)

Princess Lea is coming sometime near the end of August.
Maybe we can do some kind of mini meet then.

Wow. I was cleaning this morning and came across my logbook containing images from the Back to our Roots event in 2009. It was my first event. Totally started my love affair with meeting other boxers, and then building on those relationships over time at other events. My very first exchange that day was with Oldhounder and Siamese who graciously allowed this totally green newbie to glom onto them. I made a notation in my logbook about what an exchange was since when they asked me if I wanted to "do one" I wasn't sure what they were referring to. That's how green.
This hobby has been such a gift. Thank you friends near and far, for enriching my life with your art, your laughter, your moments sitting quietly beside a fire.

Last week there was a discussion about mystery boxes and convoluted clues.
In the past, only one or two folks have asked for help.
I've added more information to possibly entice someone to try it.

I know there is controversy about the question I'm asking but that is not my intent. I'm trying to find a listing for 'Prayer Rock' box in Bristol, VT. It isn't appearing on AQ or LB. It is hidden by a large rock on Rt. 116 called Bristol Rock that has the Lord's Prayer carved into it. Does anyone know where the listing is?

We found this box in 2012. It was on LBNA, number 9260. Don't know if or where it's listed now. Hope this helps.

don't be confused by "Like a Prayer" down the road a bit.
But do get the rest of them in town and around.

If you're coming to town, when?
Always up for a meet-up.

I already got this box - Prayer Rock - but was doing research for another boxer that was headed that way. You and I will meet for soup, I hope.

Tell them to drop us a note if they'll be in the area.
If it might help, I could do a recon on the box on Saturday.

Mmmm, hot soup.
Hope my favorites are there again.

Found the box today, so it is also still there. If anybody is going to find it soon, it could use a dry logbook and a fresh set of zip-locks. It was damp, but still legible. Hope this helps.
