Did you check the stump ball a little bit further up the hill?
I remember doing that with someone maybe eidolon or even Pawpaw...the last time I went to the box with him.
Or maybe I'm remembering a tribute box planted off that box?

Not for TW. You must be thinking about the tribute box. But if you happen to stroll by please take a look. Miss you my friend!

I greatly appreciate your planting and have enjoyed the one of yours we have found so far. Right now it is hard for us to get to the southeast area of Atlanta too often since we have a three year old (We live in the northwest Atlanta area). When we started boxing, it was not unusual to see 5-10 new boxes planted in the Atlanta area in one week by a variety of planters all over the Atlanta area. You
are planting plenty. There are just way fewer people in general planting, especially near where we are.

It would be interesting to read the history on how the English dealt with old boxes considering they've been doing it for Generations.

Yes... clue and I've solved it... You can PM me for the clue... but I've never figured out how to send one on here... so send along your email if you want it...

That stuff was broken way back, and I could not say if it is still in good shape, but that just makes it more interesting... we can chat on PM... But I'm sworn not to reveal the location, which I do know... some things I can help with.
Edit: Just looked and it is still marked ACTIVE and Never Found.

I looked at all of the eevil clues when they were first posted and was able to solve some but I could never figure out this Georgia box. I printed the clue to show it to other boxers and to hopefully get some input on how to begin. We were all stumped. Congratulations on solving it.

It was lovely to meet some locals for the first time, and see folks again as well.

If I where to buy a bunch of donuts, ziplocks, duct tape and log books would any if yall want to meet up in/near the park and attempt some box maintance?
I could probably arrange for an event stamp and maybe a small series of new boxes... more if folks want to help with that part or bring table tops/p.t.s. plus donuts and coffee.
Suggestions for dates being accepted now.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been out there, but I know there were several good ones on hilton head island, SC- about 45 minutes north of Savannah. Very pretty area. There’s a flamingo LB in Savannah that’s super cute :)

Two of the prettiest letterbox carves in Savannah:
Smoke on the Wat-arrr
King of The Dead

There are many others that are still active - Big 7, Flamingo on bull st, Be my Teddy Bear, Oldest Bar in GA, Top Award and Despair are all active drive bys in the downtown area.

There are many others in nearby Pooler. Unfortunately, I could not find any in Tybee Island.

Safe travels and enjoy Savannah!

Thank you for recommending my box, Smoke on the Wat-arrr, but unfortunately it seems to be missing. :( It is retired. I still have hopes that maybe someone will return it. It was one of my favorite carves.

Oh no!! SAD! I'm so sorry it is missing - boxes do not last long in the wild in Savannah. That particular set of bushes is popular as a 'hangout place' for those who like to smoke and for guys who 'ride the rails'. No joke - a guy came up to me in those bushes and asked if I had a joint, and then told us about his life hopping onto trains for a few years. I bet he saw some amazing sights!!
