I thought a noxer was someone who knows but doesn't participate (non) boxer.

And then there is the dreaded Obnoxer, your non boxing kid who stands in the woods with her arms tightly folded asking every minute "are you done yet?"

I don't know how you do it...

Hehehehe!

Now to pick from one of these!

Sir B:
I will put up as a prize the choice of a) a yes/no question on one of my boxes (useless :)); b) a clue from my 1998-1999 shoebox from Southern New England, or c) a stamped copy of the first edition of my book (useless :)).

I am so intrigued by b

And I'll assume a includes MOD

Yet c is the only sure payoff

What's a Dingus to do

The Secrets of the Knob by Rae record is still out there and regarded by many as the first clue based American Letterbox (or at least things called letterboxes). I believe the Phantom unfortunately sleeps with the fishes, but it would be nice to be wrong.

I'm still going with b) a clue from my 1998-1999 shoebox from Southern New England

ground Wassa meat for burgers.

I've had reindeer sausage, but not moose so I'm wondering if anyone has had it

I'd imagine it would be gristly in texture, a bit spicy, coupled with an odor one cannot quite place.

Best paired with Listerine

The Alpha and Omega of difficult boxes, on a different plane entirely.

Literal bookends. Though many/most of them do not fit into the discussion's difficult solves category since they either don't get solved or haven't been solved since Hector was a pup in the case of the first set. A Virtuoso performance

(Check out the epic live performance from Dylan's 30th Anniversary Concert. (Not quite classic rock though, and even the Byrd's version would be a stretch)

"Cloudless every day you fall upon my waking eyes
Inviting and inciting me to rise
And through the window in the wall
Come streaming in on sunlight wings
A million bright ambassadors of morning"

You might want to contact the local authorities and let them know you were in the general area during the time frame you were there. Sometimes people see things that don't seem out of the ordinary or suspicious at the time but later become a very important part of the puzzle.

Cop " The victim was all carved up. What did you say you use this sharp instrument for again?"

It looks like the new planter found your series before they planted their series. I also noted that they have only been boxing for about two months. You should be flattered that they loved your location so much that they decided to plant for the first time there. I would assume they might not yet be up to speed on etiquette. If only one of the seven boxes in their series is in close proximity to one of yours, I think you can/should mention it to them. Just say you're glad they enjoyed your series and then politely ask them to adjust "only one" of their box locations. I don't think anyone wants to scare off new letterboxers, so you can also point them toward the glossary & code of conduct on AQ and let them read up for themselves.

Hopefully things will work out. Maybe there is potential here for new boxing buddies! At least the new boxers will be planting more boxes for you to find in the area and they already like yours!

Hear, hear!

Though clue writers collaborating with master carvers is a win win win for carver, planter & finder!

I can't think of a better prize to find after a good clue and search, unless someone were to really hide actual treasure somewhere out there!

Did you put a business card from a good lawyer as the first finder s prize? (Or at least some bail money)

Last I saw, W & P were at 55K PFX. I have no idea how many traditional finds are included in that figure, but they definitely could qualify for the F10K patch!!

Or five of them plus a 5K thrown in for good measure!
