WOM clue

In a sangria recipe

We are either drinking too much sangria or not enough to solve that one. Perhaps we need to drink it at length.

I fixed that parenthesis error for you! Don't you mean "creepy women who pee in the woods" ;)

The real root of the problem is the commoditization of the hide and seek object market -- there are just too many objects, and for that there is no solution, until people get bored of finding thousands of substantially similar objects in substantially similar places with substantially similar clue styles. That day may come someday, we'll see, but I imagine Godot will show up first.

Nothing to be done

Looking for a carver who is also a fan of both the band Radiohead and Renoir (gee, not to specific) & would like to collaborate on a letterbox. I can send the proposed clue to anyone interested.

Thanks,

Ding

I'm thinking of and some of Renoir's works, I have some thoughts on where this might be going.

This is G rated so I 'm sure you're probably thinking of something else ;)

say whatcha mean & own whatcha say.

You are correct! Pretzel Logic was used to reflect some irony but ..

Dingus Dufus -> Fred Doherty says:

Or declare climate change is a hoax . .. .

Or cavemen roamed the earth with dinosaurs . . . .

Promote Intelligent Design over Evolution . . . . .

Disenfranchise eligible voters on a mass scale

Monarchy ->Democracy -> Idiocracy

Not sure what is so appealing about the Dark Ages to these people

Forgot to mention those pesky guns that people just seem to be making them look bad by getting in front of the bullets.

I am a responsible owner btw & hoping that label doesn't become an oxymoron.

Bonus: FF prize is a free tropical vacation!

Got your blimp right here (actually a dirigible but close enough) and it did fly over PA during its Millionaire's Flight.

I'm trying to educate geocachers about letterboxes

Isn't it canon in caching to trade equal or up? Shouldn't that naturally preclude a hand-carved stamp from being taken in almost every circumstance?

I've done that, but those clues weren't received as well as I'd hoped.

I also composed a clue as a haiku, but then the tree fell over. :-(

"what to geocachers think of letterboxers?"

He said some are annoyed that they don't respect the 528 foot rule

Hate to use the lowest common denominator here, but market research and demographics often place a McDonald's and a Burger King or Wendy's in the same general area. Same for many chain pharmacies and auto dealers. Different companies with the same basic business model. I haven't heard about one trashing the other, though the sordid underbelly of fast food wars may escape public scrutiny.

Do geocachers in turn respect the 528 foot rights of a preexisting letterbox? I've personally have had a geocache planted within 18" (yes, inches) from one of our boxes. The cacher even mentions to let the letterbox be. Twice we had to retrieve our box tossed down an embankment. After three or four replacement boxes and stamps . . . .

Why am I always reminded of Things Fall Apart when we discuss this letterbox & geocache thingy?

Because that's what tends to happen with these discussions. It's the attitude of "all geocachers" rather than the "bad apple geocachers"

It was meant more as observing the conflicts themselves that arise between intersecting disparate cultures, though name-calling is certainly a base product.
