Ignoring one box in a series

Is it possible to ignore just one box in a series? There is a 2-box series near me that I don't think has a separate 2nd box, 2 stamps are in the first box (and I didn't find clues to a second box) so I only marked 1 box. I emailed the owner to ask if I just missed clues to the 2nd box but received no response. I'm not going back out there unless I know there's actually another box, but the series still shows in my searches. I don't want to ignore the listing because I did find one box, but was hoping I could just ignore one box or have it not show up in my search or something.

Dizzy...breathe in...breathe out....don't sweat the small stuff. You need to get a job with the IRS girl...those accounting skills could be used.

So I wonder if the one box was just damaged or something and someone combined them. I have found boxes with 2 stamps, but they normally have them listed that way or show you log it as a bonus.

Just ignore the box. If you have logged your find on the first one, clicking "ignore box" will get it off your search...

When Ryan finds out, your F count is gonna drop.

Did the boxes have seperate names that seemed to match the pictures on the stamps? If so, I would log both as found unless the planter returns your email and says there is a 2nd box.

The names on the box details were just "box 1" and "box 2" but the 2 stamps matched the plural name of the box. I won't mark both as found because I only found 1 box. I don't think I'll hear back from the planter. I sent the email awhile ago and they read it within a day and never responded.

Some people like to record every stamp they plant--not every box they plant. I discourage this, and when I come across such examples, will either delete the extra stamp or split it off from the series and turn it into an "other" box. (Usually depending on how long it's been listed like that and how many finders it has.)

But.... if you don't mind being a fink, let me know which box this is and I'll take care of it. ;o)

I'm no fink! Besides, I'm still not 100% sure that there weren't clues to another box that I just didn't find. It's always possible that they put 2 stamps in one box and put clues to another box that I didn't find. Since they never responded, I'll never know. But I only found the 1 so I only marked the 1.

I think (Ryan can correct me if I'm wrong) if people have their AQ mail automatically going to their mailbox, the email shows as "read" right away, but doesn't mean they have logged in here and read it.

If your message got lost in their email, they might not even know about your message.

One nice thing I like on this website is you can look at someone's profile and see the last time they logged in. Check their profile to see if they have been on here since you sent your email.

You are correct that it will show as read immediately if they have it going to their mailbox. This person must not because it didn't show as read for almost a full day. Oh well, I see someone after me logged both boxes so either they found both or counted both stamps. Not my problem... I know that my logbook is accurate and that's what matters, I just wish I could get the box off of my searches without ignoring the one I found.
