LA here I come

Rain or shine, I am finding and planting some boxes in Louisiana this weekend. I'll mostly be around the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, hitting up the boxes along the Tammany Trace. Anybody with tips or recommendations? Anybody going to be in the area?

We'd really like you come to the Baton Rouge area, too! The old BR boxes have nearly all disappeared, and we're hungry! We've had to take our time, and solve virtual letterboxes for a while. There are three more at LSU that we'd like to try to find.

Some of the best locations in that area are the back woods of the BREC park system. You can Google BREC and get info. There are trails in some.

If you decide to head this way, check my profile here and at LBNA for the ones you'd most likely find.

Again, we invite you!

Take care,

PS -- "BOXDN" is from that area, but doesn't have constant internet access.

I really wish I could! I've seen all the great-sounding boxes planted in that area on LBNA. Unfortunately, my boyfriend lives in Hattiesburg, MS, and we're only able to take a day trip when I come to visit this weekend. I'm mainly planning it around a trip to the UCM museum in Abita Springs, which I just heard about and have to see.

I'll try to plan a visit to the Baton Rouge area soon. With the holidays coming up, it'll be awhile, but hopefully by the spring.

We've got one more box to re-hunt, and then I think we will have checked for all of the BR area boxes at least once. To the best of our knowledge, there are only four of the original boxes left in BR.

Before you head this way, let us know, and we'll let you know the ones we think are missing.

Happy hunting --
