Dear Friends,

We spent all day Sunday over in Elizabethtown NC. I did a search of the area and there were NO letterboxes. (Didn't look at the mystery list, but no regular ones). That has now been rectified. We made 5 RANDOM letterboxes out of stamps we had used for LTC's over the years and went in search of Parks and Historical areas. We found places for all 5 boxes and took lots of cool photos too !!
We stayed overnight and went down to Leland today (almost to Wilmington). Charlie had a part in a movie filming at a bar there. He played a Poker player in a high stakes Texas Holdem game. He did good. It's the first "LIVE" person he's played for a long time !! He's been in ZOMBIE MODE !! We got to meet several people we have been in contact with through the casting sites we belong to. That's always nice. A FULL WEEKEND for sure !!

The clues for the new boxes will be up tomorrow. We're just getting home and very tired tonight.

They were discussing wardrobe. Charlie said "They wanted me to be a big redneck. I said HEY... I can do it... I been doin it my WHOLE life !!"

He very much enjoyed playing poker with someone else's money. *LOL*

I grew up in E-town and am quite impressed you found enough to do for a whole day.
I've considered planting in Tory Hole park before but haven't yet. I'll be sure to get any boxes you left behind. White Lake might hold a few good spots but it's mostly private now.
Did you eat at Melvins? It use to be the towns shinig jewel but since Mr Melvin sold it about 5 yrs ago it just hasn't been the same........

We enjoyed E-town and Jones' Lake. White Lake was impossible to get close to, and private all the way around. We also visited Elwell Ferry and both LOCKS/DAMS. Very interesting area.
Tory Hole Park was very nice.

We didn't eat at MELVINS. We saw it and could tell it had been an ICON there in town.
