Is there a way to do a search for boxes that I have NOT tagged within an area? In other words, I only want untagged boxes to show up in my search.

Not at this time, though I too have brought this up in the past since I also have some use for the concept.
Essentially, there are not any "negative filters" for the search pages. It will only find things that are marked (ie, positive filters) be it tag, hike length icon, etc.

search for all boxes, click the check box only by the untagged ones, and hit print. a new page will open up with only the untagged boxes on it.
read, copy and paste, or whatever. sometimes I will look at the print page, then go back and unclick some of them before printing or copying to my clues document.

I place a pushpin on a mapping program for every letterbox that I solve and have not yet found in the state of Pennsylvania and then I tag them on AQ. Since there are over 800 boxes that I have not found, I was trying to avoid going through all of them to look for ones that I may have missed tagging on AQ. It looks as though manually reviewing them may be my only option.
