Thanks for hosting a great gathering! Everyone was so excited to meet up and got right to work with all of the stamping. The library was a really fun place to gather.

Agreed!!!!! Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time both at the first event and at the After Event too. Great location for a gathering!

Holy cow the time went fast!

I've heard of people taking scrapbooking weekends and thought "No Way!"

I now recant my statement. I could have spent twice as long and never gotten bored!

It was great to meet you all and I look forward to next time (Soon I hope!).

Even though there were boxes to be had outside of that room, I had so much fun meeting and chatting with all the boxers that have joined the MN scene since my last gathering a couple years ago that I didn't mind that I missed getting those boxes. Tons of fun, some very creative puzzles and carves. :)

So after reading all your posts, I am surprised that no one mentioned feeling that "letterboxing let-down" or just sheer exhaution this morning. It has taken me up until now to quit YAWNING! Maybe it had something to do with how busy my weekend was PRIOR to the event...but I must say, that is a lot of focus in a few hours. I loved it. My spouse has heard enough about it and thinks I am addicted!! What can I say? It's fun and the folks are so great. He at least admits he thinks I am now "safe" when I attend these gatherings. ;~) ha Have a great week and muchas gracias for all the efforts everyone put into this event.

I did not do any outside boxing yesterday either ... there just wasn't time! Besides, the weather will get warmer and then we can go traditional boxing.

That's because I was too tired to mention it myself today! :) I slept in until about 12:00 PM today! Whewfta! Later on in the day I regained some energy to putz around my apartment.
Yes, there is a lot of focus in a few hours but the focusing and energy that letterboxing takes is definitely worth it !

I missed one, darn it! I hate missing a box at gathering :) That's why at gatherings where it's outside you never see me except when I get there and when I leave. No lunch breaks, too many boxes to nab.

Thank you so much to M.C. and Brandicat, it was a lot of fun, especially the event after the event. I love the fact that letterboxing has introduced me to so many GREAT people. It's like a big extended family. It's so cool to be out on the trail and find a box someone has planted when you know that person personally. The more I get to know people in the boxing community the more I want to get together at gatherings and just hang out. I know we're there to "box", but it's really nice to hang out with friends you don't get to see very much. I love you guys, you're all so great, thanks for all the time and creativity you put into our hobby, it doesn't go unnoticed.

I look forward to May (I hope I can make the gathering) and especially I look forward to the Fall gathering (my personal fave). I started looking last night for images for the Fall gathering already. God willing the PZ situation will sort itself out soon so I can start carving hardcore. It would be fun to put out a ridiculous amount of boxes for it, something in the 10-15 box range. MWA-HA-HA!!!!!!!! Talk about not being able to find all the boxes at an event :) Speaking of the Fall gathering keep your eye out this year while out and about for a good location and let Red Cat know (she usually plans the Fall Gathering, but doesn't have to of course :).

I have a serious boxing hangover. I feel like the day after getting back from summer camp as a kid, sad to return to "real" life.

I'm late in adding my words of appreciation to MC Bear and Brandicat for putting everything together; it was great. Thank you, too, to Dartmoor Dreamer for the event after the event.

The more I get to know people in the boxing community the more I want to get together at gatherings and just hang out. I know we're there to "box", but it's really nice to hang out with friends you don't get to see very much.

Thinking out loud here; would it be good to have an off-season indoor workshop just for carving, sharing techniques & product info, etc.?

since I started letter boxing right after the PZ drought started, I guess I can't miss not having any.
