~This month's box is in place and ready for some finders. It is a most amazing carving (as all of these have been). When I first saw the image I thought it was store bought-that is how detailed it is.
It makes me want to travel to North Carolina to find more boxes by The Wolf Family!!!!
If you have been finding these all along, you certainly don't want to miss out on this one.
If you have not been to find any, you will be very sorry to miss out on this one!!!
Enjoy it while it is here.
As always, there is a first finder gift too.

Ironically, the boxes that I have planted in my home territory aren't half as good as the stuff I send off elsewhere. Everyone here got to suffer through my beginning stuff. :)

~Then, I certainly feel honored to be the hostess of this amazing box ;-)

P.S. If I am ever in NC again, I will be looking for some of your boxes...

I did get some of the Wolf Family boxes and others last April in Raleigh. What amazing carves, especially all those Flory of Dragon boxes! Wish I could have stayed longer.

Oh, by the way, is there any chance that the town of Mansfield could be moved closer to Shelton? I keep reading jealously about these boxes of the month. Wait, is that anywhere near Scotland? My husband wants to go to a tool museum in Scotland. Hmmm...

~Scotland is not very far from Mansfield at all. It woud be very easy to make a day, or many more, of letterboxing in Mansfield. If you got to Scotland, you should stop in the general store. They have delicious grinders/sandwiches.

P.S. The next round of these boxes will be a little closer to you-New London county anyhow.

It's about 10 miles, 20 minutes of driving on really pretty roads. I've never been to the museum, just checked the website. Looks kind of neat!

My husband is sooo into handtools. I've been using his wood microcarving set for carving stamps. Recently someone posted a link to a sharpening kit for small gouges and I showed it to him. He says "Oh, I already have that." What!!?? All this time and he never told me?? So he showed me how to use the sharpener and all the theory behind it. Guess I owe him a trip up to the tool museum!I told my husband maybe I would drop off a letterbox nearby for the tool museum with a carving of a hand tool. Gee, what type of handtool might a letterboxer carve? :-DD

LOL, I look forward to finding that! My husband hasn't ever been there which surprised me. Now that I've asked him about it, he is planning to soon. So we may even see you there!
