Along these lines of McDonald's, I need to share this actual incident that occurred here in Biddeford, ME a few months back. This was an actual call for service:


We received a call for a hit and run accident at Burger King at the Five Points Intersection. The officer responded and started his investigation. The complainant got a description of the large truck that hit the building and fled the scene.

The investigating officer called the company and spoke with the manager. The manager provided the name of the driver to the officer. The officer in turn gave us the name and then there was a very long pause. The name of the operator of the truck was :

Ronald McDonald

About an hour later, he came into the lobby to speak with the officer. So I got on the radio and with a straight, no chuckle in my voice said:

Biddeford 117 (the investigating officer) can you return to the station to speak with Ronald McDonald reference to the hit and run accident at Burger King".

Next thing I know, my phone rings, It is the Chief. He wanted to know if I was serious about the radio traffic I had given out. I told him I was. The jokes lasted for the day......
