Ok, can we narrow down what side of Charlotte? "Updown", North, South, East, West?
It could be easier to plan a meet up.

If something can be arranged, we can just make sure it's close to one of the Interstates, so it'll be easier for "out of towners" to find.
Charlotte is difficult to get around in, even for those of us who go occasionally.....

Just 2 more of my cents. "haha".

Dina B. your 2 cents is always worth more than that! I much prefer your "out of towners" but at 2:00 a.m. I couldn't think that clearly! :-) Now all I want to do is either take a nap or chug a pot of coffee! Insomnia stinks!

I've been in contact with them and I'll probably sneak out on Easter in the afternoon(recall that 3/23 is Easter!) for an exchange. I've given them 3 key areas to target depending on where they are going to be (Charlotte's pretty big) and how long they have. If they are heading to Atlanta, I imagine it will be I-77 to I-85 meaning they will be passing through the North side (Huntersville) and passing the USNWC.

Thank you for taking care of them! They seem like super nice people and I just hate they are not passing closer to the Lenoir area.

Really *eyes and ears perked up*

I've been trying to refrain from getting sucked into the mad, mad world of LTCs but I've been doing a single exchange here and there and I'm afraid my resistance is growing weaker and weaker.

Mercy! Please, Mercy!

So, far it has amounted to all of four LTCs. Ask Dina B. I really do need to practice some more. I'm not up to mass producing yet! How do you people do it??? I agonize over one card for hours!

We got ONE LTC from Celtic Clan. It is beautiful !!! She definately needs to branch out into LTCs.

I have also been trying to talk that "Chihuahua Grande" (not Frank, his Mom, the 2 legged one) into getting into LTC's. She's very scrapbookie artistic and makes all those awesome logbooks..... I know her LTCs would be great too.

We are really enjoying the LTCs, but compared to others, ours are still a bit "plain". Charlie carves wonderful stamps, but I'm on the OTHER end of the scale from artistic..... I can barely draw a stick figure. LOL.....
I have noticed an improvement as we've been going along though.

I had forgotten that the 23rd WAS Easter.......as far as the 3 blind mice meeting.
I'm not sure what my family has planned.... but we'll do our best to meet up if we can.
Love their LTCs !!!

Hello all!

We are coming in on I 77 on March 22 and will seek a place to stay for the night along the north side of Charlotte (suggestions?). We will stay around Charlotte on March 23rd for boxing and exchanges. We are really up to anything and The Wolf Family has kindly suggested some boxes to find. We understand that X Marks the Spot - Three Secrets is a must.

A Pizza joint dinner sounds like fun, however, we like Frank are coffee addicts and any place that serves coffee and food will do.

We understand it is Easter, and don't expect people to come out, but we are up for the visits and sharing. We will even bring our collection of over 600 LTCs to share and any of our availables to trade.

We will also follow I 85 out of town to Atlanta to box around Stone Mountain, we and great and exchange with anyone who wants some.

thanks for making us feel welcome,

3 Blind Mice

Huntersville has some nice places to stay and lots of restaurant choices too.

Yes, the 3 Secrets box is something you should try to get to !!! It's on a trail, but not rough or very long.

We'll try to get together either Saturday night or sometime Sunday. Whenever anyone suggests.

See you soon.

I85 runs right through my area! When do you anticipate going through Greenville, SC? Maybe we can put together a little something! There's a good handful of boxers in this area that are always ready for a mini-gathering!

Hmmm... Saturday night. Maybe you'd be up for some night 'boxing. It's on the South side of Charlotte, though. Maybe there would be a group to do a few night 'boxes since Sunday may be harder since it's Easter. Any ideas on the time you would be coming in? Maybe dinner and some night boxing?

I did meet X at The Eddings Restaurant at we went and did 3 Secrets in the dark afterwards. That wasn't real easy but it was fun.

Dang, I'll be missing night boxing with Mama Wolf!! We plan to be in Stone Mountain that weekend with the cousins. Maybe we can night box at the Rock with Granny and PawPaw. IF our plans change, and we're in town--count Chickadee in even if Jolly Roger won't leave the recliner. :^)

In a hotel? Unless camping out is your thing. *okay, couldn't resist at 4 AM.

I only know where not to stay - from personal experience - although it has been a while. It is off of I-85 near the airport - maybe a Motel 6, but it could have changed alot since 10 years ago when we stayed.

I'm sending you an e-mail on this. I think this one is a bit harder since you are only coming through the North side of Charlotte-- I know the southside (and places to stay away from on the northside). Maybe the Huntersville folks have some input here: 4 Auburn Fans, Smiley 5, 3 Sunshine-- are you reading this?

There is a hotel right on exit 25, but i've never stayed there. It's a Courtyard Marriott, which I've always had good experience with in general.

I-77 at Exit 25, Sam Furr Rd.

I've not stayed there but Sam Furr Rd in Huntersville is generally a good area. You will also be strategically located at an unbelieveable amount of drivebys! You may need to pack a flashlight and hit a bunch of them since I recall a lot of them being in unfenced areas-- parking lots and such.

hey,

A big thanks to all the bowers in Charlotte. You guys have given us so such good information and ideas if it wasn't for the conference we would just stay in NC!

We are trying to arrange it so we can come in on the 22nd around dinner time to provide some exchanges and night boxing. We will be in Charlotte all day and night on the 23rd just to box and meet all you great people willing to come out on Easter. Sorry. The timing isn't great, we know.

We will add a detailed post of our plans later this week. A special THANKS goes out to the Wolf Family. You are amazing!

OK,

We have some clearer plans:

We will come into Cornelius, NC on the evening of March 22nd. We are trying to arrange to get there by dinner.

If we can arrange to get there early enough, we would like to meet people (at the suggestion of the Wolf Family) at the USNWC for dinner. Followed by some night boxing and a search for Three Secrets.

We will be staying at the Econo Lodge Lake Norman. (a bit of drive we know).

March 23rd we will be in the Charlotte area (guides anyone?) and will be searching for boxes, meeting great folks, and........suggestions?

We will head out the evening of the 23rd and head towards Greenville, SC. (lodging to be determined).

March 24th we will have a mini-gather and breakfast with all who come: see event, http://www.atlasquest.com/events/event.html?gEventId=668
and then head to Stone Mountain GA for some additional boxing....suggestions?

We will stop for the night hopefully in Mobile, AL.

Next stop, New Orleans. Anyone have box suggestions along the way?

We will be in New Orleans until the 30th and then we are racing home. Our first stop will be (hopefully) in the Knoxville, TN area. We are up for a meet for breakfast for those in that area. Next stop will be Red Hook, NY (home)

Hey - we are on spring break that week - we might just be able to make it to this one!!! Any idea of a time frame? It's a 1.5 hour (or so) drive for us, but we could do some boxing after, and maybe go to the zoo if the weather is nice!!!

We can probably do that!! I'll have to mapquest it, and maybe have the Fox Kits sleep in the car. They just do NOT move fast in the mornings :-))
