We just signed up for the even! Saturday we attended our first event ever in Charleston (we've only been boxing since May), and we ended up with 6 cooties - and there were only about 30 people there! =)

Did you see the new box that was planted waaaaaay up on top of the Table Rock Trail? It will be a 7.2 mile hike up and back. Should we or shouldn't we? I think I might be to chicken(lazy)!

There are a few more coming by that planter and we are doing the big 10ish mile hike this weekend with boxes in hand. All of the important markers in that park will be LBed!!! I hope there are at least one or two who take the time out to get these boxes. The hikes are wonderful!

I hear you on that. Don't forget about the socializing. LOL....That is what will keep me off the trails..... not the length of the hikes or elevation. (Mental note to self: Have Erin pack her extra inhalers.)

I can't believe Dawn has to come all this way to meet ME when I was in Darlington last weekend. Oh - and I'm going this weekend too. :P But it's a quickie. My hubby is over there and it's his bday. I'm going to call you if I can escape though.

We are trying to inch our way closer to 200 so that I don't feel compelled to go crazy on Sat/Sun. We should be at 190 by the end of the week. I keep making Erin go on her lunch break. :P

BOO HOO! I had a call yesterday for someone who wanted our services in Boiling Springs on the 10th. I am crossing my fingers that they will change their minds and take the other date they suggested, or that hubby can find someone else to fill in. Of course, if not, I guess I could find the boxes in Boiling Springs that day instead.

This is exactly what I've been thinking. I want to get some boxes (as many as I possibly can), but I also want to meet everyone, get some PTs, some cooties, hand out some cooties, and I too only have one day. Somebody please make us a schedule so we can do the most we possibly can in one day!!! :) but then again, schedules aren't fun!! Oh well, we'll see when we get there!!

I've found at gathers that I much prefer to sit around and gab, and get PT's, and exchanges - boxing is great, but the social part of gathers is what I love! Also, I'm not crazy about standing in line to find boxes out in the woods - but that's just me! And it is fun to go boxing with others that you don't get to see that often ;-))

I know there are some easy "close" boxes, and driveby's at Table Rock. And there's going to be night boxing - can't miss that!! What I've done - in the morning, visit, exchange, yadda yadda yadda until just after lunch - by then Baby Fox is starting to fade, and needs a break (she's almost 5, but still naps most days - very short nap, or it's a long night for mom - lol!!). So that's when I've done driveby's - she can snooze in the car, Foxy Boy reads or occassionally looks at the boxes with me. Then - depending on the gather - back to the event location to see what else is going on. By then, some early boxers might have come back - like those people who leave at 8:00 am to get as many boxes as possible *coughWolfcough* - and if there are evening/nighttime events - at least the kiddies are somewhat rested and there's a chance that meltdowns won't happen ;-))

So that's not a schedule, but just some thoughts ;-)) Of course, if you are wanting to work that 10 mile hike in on Saturday as well, you might want to come up with another schedule - lol!!

Thanks Mama Fox! I don't think I'm going for the 10 mile hike, that would take up most of my day. I think I'll do alot of socializing and exchanges and then since it isn't that far of a ride, we could go back for a weekend sometime. I can always bribe hubby with a motorcycle trip as long as I have someone to watch the two baby dawgs. I'm working on cooties and I've got to make two more PTs and the "big Dawg" is looking forward to the coffee, while the Pound Princess is practicing giveing everybody cooties. She even gave my grandpa one yesterday and he just had no idea what she was talking about. Baby Dawg gets them a couple times a day and we had to go and buy her a little basket for her bike so she can have someway to carry them on Saturday! We're very excited as you can see!
