Yeah I still can't believe Dad (MyMiata) ended up stealing the Mini-Golf Queen title! :D I guess the boxing didn't throw him off his game nearly as much as it did with Maine Koko. :D I'm really glad everyone had a great time, I know I did! I'll post photos soon, gotta start cleaning the apartment for guests tomorrow though. :)

I know my kids look ALOT like me, but I must defend their honor, since we are new and folks are not used to our trail names yet. You will find our family listed under the Sunnyside trail name, maintained by none other than Sunnyside Mama. There is only one Sunnyside Seeker, that being me, and I am the one obsessed with the boards, so you will mostly see me on here. Sunnyside Frogcatcher and Sunnyside Princess were the honorable witnesses to my best Mini Golf game ever (52), but alas it looks like at best I tied for third or fourth with the former champ.

I may not have come home with a golden putter, but I drowned my sorrows by meandering through Gorham on the way home and getting myself a brand new Speedball carving kit at the Art Guru. Yeah! We forgot to ask for their box and exchange though, next time. I think I may swap handles with Sunnyside Mama, because she has trouble with the pop off top and this one twists off.

It was nice meeting everyone. Damn though, what a whirlwind of stamps and ink and markers; it is going to take me a while to get used to that. I am still surprised that I did not lose anything. I expect (hope?) that calms down a bit when you are not the new kid on the block... ;)

It was my first event too. I thought it was fun and the folks who do this all the time were really nice to meet and very helpful. Just thought you should know you weren't the only new kid on the block. I hope to be able to get to more events in the near future. Hope we see you there too!

Events are SO much fun, and way more of a whirlwind than what you all experienced at mini-golf! :) Keep in mind, this was a MINI event, most regular events have upwards of 50 people! It's so much fun to meet so many people who love letterboxing, see their stamps, and hear the stories behind them! :) It can get overwhelming at times, but once you go to an event or two you learn what to expect and can mentally prepare! :) Just imagine mini-golf times 10 and that's about right. :D

I am glad I started small! Of course it is cool to meet other letterboxers. We are going to try to get down for FN3, but no commitments yet. I can't decide if seeking koko in a leotard is a draw or the very thing that might be causing my hesitation. ;) I look forward to having a chance to chat with people more. Of course with tons more people I may yet again be caught in the maelstrom of rubber and ink...

If we do show, you can bet that my kid will be the one running around with cooties who look like they are on crack. My kids like letterboxing, but they LOVE to cootie people. I don't know where they got that sneaky streak...

I think one of my favorite parts of the mini-golf event was watching your son attach two cooties to the back of Mr. Wildcat's shirt and having him not notice for a good half-hour. :D They are definitely prime candidates for the Cootie Crew! You should send a message to Team New Hampshire, he has Cootie Crew patches and T-shirts! :)

That was my little frogcatcher. :) What made it even funnier for me was watching Isaac nearly meltdown with excitement that Mr. Wildcat wasn't noticing the first one. After he attached the second cootie to the first one he was almost exploding.

An almost identical scenario played out at the Coos Canyon gathering with your Sneaky Snake cootie, but that time it was Sunnyside Princess delivering to Sunnyside Mama.

I am going to have to look into those patches...
