oh sure... if you think we could get free pizza out of it! Just kidding Team NH! We'll come if there is no pizza! Six Stars...looking forward to the reunion of all the tour bus participants anywhere!
Sounds great! I will order a #1 v gouge from Stampeaze and you can show me how to use it during our New Hampshire Tour Bus Wine Tasting, Cork Carving, Stamp Fest. I even have a nice bottle of wine from South Australia (Penfolds BIN 407 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage 2001) that I am willing to share with my neighbors and fellow letterboxers in New Hampshire. How long do you think it will take for the bus to fill up?
Hope to meet you soon!

What do you think about using clear fingernail polish to help preserve our cork stamps that we are going to be carving during the New Hampshire Tour Bus vino fest?
Another question, how do I get to quote someone else's message so it shows up in that rectangular box?

Okay, where are you, oh dear neighbor...? It sounds like we might have to have a gathering with that wine before the ole' bus is done!

I really cannot believe that I am replying to myself, but I forgot to mention that many of the boxers here LOVE a product (from Stampeaze of course!) called PZ CUT. I like the price (way cheaper than getting the crumbly stuff in Michaels *even with a coupon* and it is really easy to carve creations that look like you have a ridiculous talent for carving. It is firm but yielding and holds the blade without skipping or tearing. There are two grades in two colors. I like the grade B white, but I have seen works of art created from the orange. Just a matter of preference ! So when you place you order, make the shipping pay for itself and order yourself up some of that carving material, too. Order more than you think you might want, because if you get going at it, you will be a carving fool in no time! Can't wait to meet you and your brother! The eyes have it! that should be your name when you box together! six stars

Your dear neighbor lives in Foxboro MA. Big brother lives in Meredith, although I am ashamed that I don't get North that often. Although I was in New Hampshire & Maine last weekend riding 150 miles for the Classic New England Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association. Let me know when you want me to chill the wine. But then again, you don't chill red wine do you?
I think that some are chillable. I will check on this one!
Serving Cabernet Sauvignon
Serve Cabernet Sauvignon in glasses suited to the occasion, circumstances and wine. To focus attention on the wine, serve Cabernet Sauvignon in a stemmed wine glass, with a bowl large enough to allow you to swirl it (so its aroma is easier to smell).
Younger Cabernet Sauvignons can be served in large, tulip-shaped glasses to accentuate fruitiness; older, mature Cabernets in somewhat smaller, tulip-shaped glasses to accentuate fruitiness; older, mature Merlots in somewhat smaller, tulip-shaped glasses to highlight complexity.
Recommended service temperature for most Cabernet Sauvignons is cool room temperature (60-68 Farenheit, 15.5-20 Celsius), not warm
Well I am from Framingham and still get there every now and again. I was a mucky muck in the Underground Camera chain before they expanded too fast and sold most of the stores to Ritz. Our home office was in Foxboro!
Congrats on the quote boxy thingy! now you can do Italics with an i and BOLD with a b oh the fun!
but don't you think this really should be Team New Hampshire's event??? ;)
oh sure... if you think we could get free pizza out of it! Just kidding Team NH! We'll come if there is no pizza! Six Stars...looking forward to the reunion of all the tour bus participants anywhere!
for all of you that don't know yet, i am hosting a gathering january 5th of 2008. at the rate the tour bus is going, im sure it will be full in time for the gathering! as for pizza, you didn't even say goodbye. i cried for an hour!

Well, TNH, We have to stop meeting like this.
Great news for you, though. My DH, who is a noxer, and obnoxious about his feelings about the perfect pizza, LOVED yours... You are in with him now!
Well, I am thinking that January would not be a good time to have this party as it should be just the participants in the tour bus, right? a special event for the brave ! *cough*speed~demons*cough* Who jumped through hoops to get the box first! We will work something out!
off to dream of the wine and Sal's pizza now! six stars
being i never met your husband <never introduced me to him> he must be pretty cool to have to deal with you ;)
we could have an after party just for those whom are involved with the filling of the bus. just an idea i am throwing out to everyone.
i just cant keep taking all these saturdays off. my boss is ready to kill me for taking 2 saturdays off for gatherings this summer. we can figure things out when the tour bus is full.

Small world isn't it? I grew up in the Midwest, Michigan to be exact. Have lived all over the states, including Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, California, and even Australia. I have landed in Massachusetts and have lived here for 5 years. I chose to live in Foxboro as it is equidistant to both airports which makes it nice since I travel quite a bit. I would love to some day move closer to the ocean. New Hampshire is a very beautiful state and I absolutely love hiking in the White Mountains. Unfortunately, I don't care for the cold so I don't get North that often in the winter.
Let's see if I can get this italics thing to work!

Please, please, pretty please include me. You can't imagine the stress I went through watching the bus sit in Meredith online for a week. I had to call my brother several times and walk him through the process of letterboxing and what to do. He didn't find the box on his first attempt because it became dark and managed to find it the next day. Carving the bus driver out of cork was his ingenuity. Of course if need be, I could come as his guest ;)
Eye Wanitt ------------> wants to come to the NH Tour Bus gathering.
he must be pretty cool to have to deal with you ;)
what?????
I just can't keep taking all these Saturdays off. my boss is ready to kill me for taking 2 Saturdays off for gatherings this summer. we can figure things out when the tour bus is full.
okay, only after I get a full apology from you!
Sorry about not introducing you to him, but frankly he finds the whole letterboxing thing a bit weird and trys to avoid as many aspects of it as possible!.

you have to put your i or b in between <> and use a / in the one at the end!
We would have to include you, because if you had not instigated a boxer to get going and get it (and carve his first stamp) we might not have the direction that we have now!

EXCELLENTE!!!!!!/ I have several bottles of wine that I am more than happy to bring along.
I just spent several hours letterboxing this morning. It is such a beautiful day to be outside. Glad that the humidty and mugginess are gone.

I thought about the fingernail polish, but I don't think the ink would work as well on it, it might just bead up and look funny... I guess we could keep it the way it is since this will probably be retired once it's full (team new hampshire? Ideas?). Or if it's going to be a permanent plant somewhere, someone could always re-carve the driver in PZ Kut. :)
I think you have the quote figured out, but here's a tip. Html tags always have an open tag and a close tag. So to start italicizing something, you would type < i > (without the spaces) and to close it type < / i > without the spaces, where you want the italicizing to stop. To bold, same thing, just replace the i with a b. :)
i dont know much about cork, but with it not last long in its current form? we can leave that up to the original carver as to whether it needs to be recarved.
as for the series of boxes after the bus is full, i haven't really decided what will happen with it. i could plant i, but if we have a gathering for those who contributated to the bus, it would kinda defeat the purpose of the gathering if i plant. i do have a plot of land already if i do plant the series. i could use it as a traveling event box, kinda like the circus boxes i have gotten in MA and NY gathers.
i have plenty of time to figure out what i wanna do with the series. oh ya, get that box planted already will ya!
you really should have snuck it over state lines for the gathering! i wouldn't have gotten mad at ya! nice meeting you finally too! david (team new hampshire) http://teamnewhampshire.blogspot.com

I think you should eventually plant it, but wait until after we have our tour bus gathering. :)
I dunno, I kinda figured nobody would bring their carving stuff to the gathering, and I like the idea of it never leaving NH, it makes me feel special for living here now, especially since I grew up just over the border in Eliot, Maine. :)
And it was great finally having a face to put to your name! :)
I'm going to try to carve a passenger for it today and plant it in a day or two! :)
nobody would have thier carving stuff. it would have been ok. they could have gotten the stamps in the box. that would have been the only reason the box showed up. it would have been a wonderful surprized for eveyone i'm sure, but all is ok. i like the idea of feeling special for living in NH.
so where is the bus now........... its summer is it on vacation?
Funny you should mention that as I was just going to post a message about it!
The New Hampshire Tour Bus has new passengers (2 new passengers, one new stamp) and just might be hiding on a mountain in Strafford, New Hampshire, not far from some owls. But you'd have to check with Littlmoon to be sure about this. :) I'll post an update once I hear from her.
Well, Littlmoon was SUPPOSED to plant it yesterday, but due to circumstances beyond her control was not able to, and is going to plant it today. I will be sure to bug her to post the clues as soon as humanly possible! :)
Okay, it's not in Strafford or at the beach she was at, it's now in Dover. :D Here's the link to the clues! She just dropped them off to me at work because she was on her way to the trolley, she's so busy! Luckily, I fully support slacking off on AQ all day at my place of employment. :D
