I looked up the place from the link provided on the page (of the link provided). I couldn't find the stone itself, but this is one of those parks that is manicured within an inch of its life. However, there is this and the other side that would probably provide a lot of hiding places. At least it would be in the same park as the pickle stone.

I checked all three pictures. I didn't see anyone sitting on any of the benches, and there are some benches in the pictures. However, I may have missed the person you saw.
