I'm 3 hours inland but at the top of the state and we are good. It rain most of last night and it's still raining. Thanks for thinking of us.

I live a little east of Charlotte and we've had 10.3 inches of rain so far. I had rain coming through the roof, the attic, and through the ceiling of my daughters room. Insurance people won't come out till Weds, hopefully. Other than that, it appears we have survived. Thank you.

Goodness, that is awful :( I hope the insurance people will be speedy and that they can get someone out to fix it relatively quickly! Florence really has been a major pain for NC and I'm praying for you all down there. Fingers crossed, it'll blow away soon.

My thoughts and prayers are also with our many LB friends in the areas hit by the hurricane. I hope all are well and not too much damage to properties and belongings.

Oh no I'm sorry to hear about the damage to your house.

I'm checking in from the Raleigh area. We have sat on the very edge of the storm for 4 days now, I don't know how much rain we've gotten (reports vary, maybe 6" so far?) but it's not as bad as south and east of here.

Having just moved up from Fayetteville and being there during Matthew (and having lots of friends down there still) I am nervously watching the news as the flood waters get higher than that "historic" flood 2 years ago. :( Not to mention So many areas east of there..... I'm counting my blessings at the moment.

We had lots of flooded roads this morning. Again it rain all night. I heard we had close to 6”. The sun is shinning now and praying for all of the down east. I’m still hearing that Wilmington is blocked off from the rest of NC. I-40 and I-95 are closed. Stay safe my friends.
