I am thinking we may need to try this out ourselves.

The cats were interested in eating at the time, so they were able to sneak it in.

I want to know why cats are so afraid of cucumbers.

Okay, today we went out and bought a cucumber just to try this out. We snuck the cucumber behind our cat while we were feeding her and then stepped back. She did a little double-take upon seeing it, but it was more along the lines of “that wasn’t here a moment ago”. Then she went right back to eating.

She also lives with two kids, so she has come to expect a bit of craziness now and then. She is also a very patient cat.

I see she takes away your toys when you misbehave according to her rules.
You'll get it back in a week after you've had time to think about what you've done.

So that’s why the remote control keeps going “missing”. :-)
