We have multiple fb groups in our area. Some are BST, some also include "FREE". It is overwhelming. Seems Freecycle has died off and moved to FB. It seems people are members of multiple groups and don't pay attention to the individual group posting rules.

We are fortunate there are other avenues to donate good, reusable household items, so folks don't have to use FB. I will donate through FB, but I never have anyone come to my home. Our library and police station are located across a common street and provide a safe transaction space.

I don't take offense to your reaction, but many were brought up differently. "If you never ask, you know the answer will be 'no'." If you feel you might becoming judgmental, I would suggest dropping out of those fb groups.

I'm just a sarcastic person and want to answer that way. I just thought that someone would take my idea as offensive. Even though I have never posted that to anyone's post.

I see your sarcasm. But you did say the group was buy, sell, and trade. Maybe the person was looking to trade? As a former freecycle moderator I saw a lot of the mee-mees that would post requests for some very pricy household items. It was hard to imagine asking for such things, and I have no idea if the wants were granted. But, after having to clear out my parents' households of decades of really good stuff, and offering or donating much of it to needy families, those requests didn't bother me. You just never know what people are dealing with. I'll let God sort it out.
