Last night I dreamed I found a mythical creature-type bird. It was kind of a large cockatiel with a monkey face... and it spoke English! It was a disturbing dream because it seemed so real.

Can't say I have had anything recently, not that I remember at least. I know a few weeks ago I was having dreams about coyotes, not too weird when that's said. But we have had an influx of coyotes in our area, and I was worried about my chickens one night so I went out to check on them several times throughout the night. Anyway, I finally drifted off to sleep. Now I did not know I was asleep, but in my dream, I hear this commotion outside of my window and rushed outside to find a coyote in the chicken pen trying to get to my ladies. For some reason or another I had a .22 rifle sitting in my screened in porch, grabbed it, and because it was a dream had a perfect shot right through it's eye and killed it. Not too bad, nothing crazy. Except when I walked out to the pen with gloves on, I pulled it out of the pen and stuck it near the back of my yard to deal with in the morning, when all of a sudden three more coyotes jumped over my fence and surrounded me. They were all just medium sized, nothing too intimidating, until one by one they stood on their hind legs and grew to over 7' tall and looked more like werewolves at that point, and spoke broken, but understandable, English. I think it was a few minutes later after some conversation about how I killed their brother and they pounced on me that I woke up. Really weird.

I can't remember them, but I've been having some very vivid dreams lately, including one with my recently deceased mother.

Now that's a wild dream.

Sounds like the topic of a stamp. You could carve what you saw, so that the rest of us can appreciate it. Perhaps carving it would help you get over whatever apprehension you may still have about the dream.

You drew that? You draw very well. DarkZen and Evil Cow Pie should use you as a sketch artist and try to get an image of what was in the dream.

The first one isn't disturbing to me. The second (Niddler) is more disturbing (to me). But even the Rancor became cute once I saw it as a toy.

You could carve what you saw, so that the rest of us can appreciate it.
