Need 4 Lock n Locks?
Board: State: New York

I packed up 4 large Lock N Locks to ship them to a boxer in California, but it was $13 postage, which might exceed the value of the boxes.
Is there anyone closer who could use 4 large used Lock-NLocks, already camo painted?
I am guessing it would be cheaper to send these to someone in New York State or Pennsylvania. Does anyone know if that would be correct?

I don't think location would change the price much. How are you mailing them?

How much do they weigh, before putting them in a box, and how much space do they take up?
I do a lot of eBay selling, and in general, it costs less if mailing locally. Flat rate envelopes or boxes can save or cost you more $, depending.
You can also cut down on shipping weight if you can put your item(s) in a plastic mailing envelope. I usually wrap those items in bubblewrap for protection.
And, if you have a Paypal account, you can save some additional $, and print out your label at home - no standing in line at the post office :)

They would not fit in an envelope. They are 4 large nested boxes and 4 lids. The box is not very large, nor very heavy. 7 by 8 by 9 inches, about a pound and a quarter [although my one scale only goes to a pound, and the other is for weighing people].
To go to California, the cheapest was Priority, except there was some SUPER slow method that would save 12 cents.

Thanks for the info....
Okay, for a package 1 lb.+ to 2 lbs. (your Lock & Locks)
from Rochester NY (zip 14605) to
Philly PA (zip 19104) it would cost $7.70
On the USPS website https://postcalc.usps.com/ you can put in different zip codes, weights, etc. to give you an idea on shipping.
Here is the link to find out cities and their corresponding zip codes:

I use a kitchen scale to weigh out my mailings. Sometimes I weigh items individually (like books) and add them together to get my total weight if my scale can't handle it otherwise.

That sounds perfectly reasonable. I am willing to pay up to $10.

So, any takers from around NYS or PA.? I would pay to get them to you. Large Lock N Locks complete with dirt and camo paint, ready to plant. Maybe even someone from N.J, Ohio, or Mass.?
