Thanks everyone!! Eden and I were talking about our hobbies and how they help (or hinder, in some cases) our lives. Letterboxing and the AQ community absolutely are a terrific part of my/our lives.

I spent today reviewing 63 clues in a fifteen mile radius of backwood heaven I will get to play in at the end of August. Also I am 95% done carving a 3 1/2" x 6" stamp that has been kicking my behind. I can't wait to be able to ink it up and see how I did 😂.

Thank you all for the treasures I have been able to seek and find so far!

Here's to another ten years!
Jeff

That sounds ambitious. The largest stamps that I've carved have been for LTCs to slightly overlap the 2½"×3½" size. You don't have to tell me specifically what it is you are carving, but what type of image are you carving (person, landscape, etc.) and how detailed is it? Perhaps I will be inspired to carve such a large stamp. The most challenging ones I've carved are of people.

However, I have found Hello From Minnesota! which is a 10" long stamp. It was a very nicely carved stamp. I'd like to see yours (and many others), but I'm not likely to get up your way.

Good luck with your carve.

Thanks for the encouragement. It is now about 98% completed. The carve was originally for an event that was cancelled due to the host becoming ill. Then this tracker came available and I had to complete the stamp for it. 😀
The stamp is a treasure map shrunk down to 3 1/2 x 6. Lots of detail.

I have done other stamps that are bigger, maybe the largest was 9" x 12" but it was no where as detailed as this one.

People are hard! I gave myself practice on a few stamps that had multiple people on them. Still need more practice though 🙂

Anything carved by GreenJello is golden 👍

Will that stamp rival the Voodoo Donut?

I think so, yes. This one is maybe half the size though. Voodoo I think is about 6 1/2" square. 😀
