I am looking for the names of the best ink pads or stamp brush markers. What are you're opinions?

My fav. ink pad is Versafine and my favorite trail markers are Crayola. I've tried Recollection brush markers but, at least the package I had, they didn't work at all for rubber stamps on the trail. For regular use, I'm in love with Tim Holtz distress markers.

what are you using the ink pads or brush markers for, i.e. trail use, crafting, as that will affect the "best"?

I assume you mean "best" for letterboxing

I like the Tombow brush markers for letterboxing on the trails/or at events.

As for ink pads, I like Ranger's Archival ink, Memento ink or Versafine. HeroArts has some cute little cubes that are easy to carry around.

I would stick to dye based inks if possible. The pigment inks may give you a brighter image, but they take longer to dry and will smudge in your book. They also make a hella mess on the stamps for the people that come after you.

If you use those sticky pigment inks, you should also carry wipes with you so you can clean the stamps afterwards.
