Ending? A forever ending? I'm about 10 seasons behind. Is it worth watching to the end of this season?

I read there is going to be a 7th season, but a bunch of major characters (Snow, Charming and Emma) are going to be gone. Not sure how this will work out. Maybe they can pull it off.

The only people that are returning are Regina, Rumple, and Hook. Everyone else is out. Also the show will be moving to Fridays next season. Seems like ABC is trying to kill it off, which just makes me wonder why they even renewed it at all.

They basically wrote "... And they lived happily ever after."

Then they set it up for a continuation. This is called a soft-reboot.

in my opinion the show is pretty much over, just starting a new one with a similar story line. I think characters make the story. crossing my fingers hopefully it is still good.

The characters do make the story. And, for me, the three that are coming back (Regina, Rumple and Hook) are the best characters on the show. I'm not saying I'd want to be best friends with any of them, but as characters they're the most interesting to watch. I'm not sure if they'll make it work, or if it'll just fall apart. It could be that vast numbers of people don't find Snow and Charming and Belle as irritating as I do. They might hate the show next season.

Hook

But Hook and Emma just got married. I wonder how they'll handle that. The actress who plays Emma Swan said she'd come back on occasion but not as a regular.

The Emma & Hook romance is my favorite part of the show. I hope that Emma comes back on occasion. I have watched the series from the start but am usually behind as I do not have cable and just finished this season.

I would have rather them stopped at the happy ending versus the spin at the end. Hopefully it ends up being a good show still.

I agree. ABC setup a strange new story this time. Hoping we still enjoy it!!

I'm going to a OUAT convention next weekend, and both Lana Parrilla (Regina) and Colin O'Donoghue (Hook) will be there. They probably don't know a whole lot about next season yet, but I'm hoping they can lend a few insights as to how it's going to work.
