11:29 from Nurse Cindy - they have started warming her and things are going okay. They have had some trouble controlling the warming but going slow has helped. Cindy says "she's stubborn" and I told her she has no idea just how stubborn. They're busy with her for the next few hours and she suggested we wait at home and call for an update at 14:00.

Thoughts and prayers to all. Miracles are all around us. Let us all keep praying.

Thanks for all of the updates Papa! We were lucky enough to meet her at an event and have recently tried to find some of her boxes. I'm so sorry to hear about her accident and will constantly pray for a recovery. Please keep the updates coming when you have them and thanks again for letting us all know!

I hope that this means no news is good news.

I read about this on Facebook over the weekend. So sorry to hear and hopefully things will take a turn for the better !!! PRAYERS & HUGS for all.

Some good news today. They took my sister off the ventilator for 2 hours AND she responded to a command! Wiggled her toes. Baby steps but they're in the right direction!

Not good day with Kristin. My sister. She did not respond yesterday. They were overly optimistic. And the doc said they were wrong. Didn't respond today. She should be at this point. I beg for positives thoughts and prayers for her. Many of you know I live with her and she is my world. She's had a great deal of medical issues. No thyroid, left ear hearing, no gall bladder or adrenalin glands. And more. But I've always taken care of her. But now I need help. Pray. Make her wake up.

From Lori: Very good day for my sister! She is now interacting with head movements. Brother Greg asked her if she wanted him to sing for her and she got a grin on her face and shook her head vigorously side to side. Ventilator tube and feeding tube come out of her mouth tomorrow. Tracheotomy tube and feeding tube go in directly tomorrow. Frees up her vocal chords. She seems to want to talk. She's in there!! But please keep up your thoughts and prayers❤️👍

It's getting difficult posting to so many boards and answering so many individual questions. I'm sure she'll be glad to hear so many wonderful people are concerned about how she's doing. That's amazing news! I'm so glad to hear.

As PapaSolo said, he's already posting updates from TrailTroll's sister, Lori, in several places. But there seem to be a lot of people following TrailTroll's progress on the United States board here. Since it seems like TrailTroll can use all the prayers and positive vibes she can get, I will try to post updates from the Michigan board onto the US board. Since I'm on AtlasQuest all the time anyway, I figure it's the least I can do.

I received an email yesterday from Trailtroll's sister, Lori, about TT's current condition, but when I got home and attempted to post it, I couldn't find it on my pc, so I'm going from memory here (ha!). The hospital is moving Kristin to ICU, down from critical care, so that's good news, and they are removing some of her tubes, so that's more baby steps in the right direction. I asked Lori to resend me her email, and if she does, or if I find the original, or get more info, I'll be sure to pass it along. Lori sends a sincere thank you to everyone who sends their positive thoughts, vibes, and prayers. Things are getting better. :)

Thanks, Dawnkey. Our letterboxing community is a wonderful group of people, based on the people I've met. TrailTroll is a fighter, but we can make the fight easier by supporting her with prayer and cards. If anyone would want her address, AQ message me and I can send it to you. PapaSolo is also willing to do so.

Latest update! Kristin is agitated because she can't talk with the trach tube in, but she is nodding in response to questions. She's also responding to Lori reading the cards she's getting. :)

Let's send in cards from letterboxers across the country so that TrailTroll can keep responding to them!

News about TrailTroll from her sister, Lori.: Not a good day. Totally unresponsive. Neurologist says this can happen. She was very alert the last two days and now she's tired. Let's hope that's all. EEG and MRI today.

It's nice to follow up the last post with a more encouraging word. PapaSolo posted this earlier this evening on the Michigan board:

From Lori: Very good day! First day in a slant chair. She (TrailTroll) was very interactive. She wants to come home! Tomorrow being Monday, she'll get the full intake from all the therapists. She's getting better with hand dexterity, so she has been using sign language to talk to me. Sort of.

PapaSolo just posted another positive report on TrailTroll. Definitely a long struggle, but it's so encouraging that she's apparently past those days of not responding at all.

From Lori: Update on my beloved sister (TrailTroll) who suffered a traumatic brain injury 4 weeks ago yesterday. She has been moved to LTAC - long term acute care. She's still on the trach tube so she can't talk. Can't stand on her own. BUT her memory issues are reducing and her ability to write is improving. Big help with communication. She keeps saying she wants to come home and that kills me. It will probably be weeks. But she's alive and very slowly improving. Please keep up your good thoughts and prayers 👍

I haven't re-posted every single one of PapaSolo's reports on TrailTroll to the US board, but this one is a must-read for sure!

From Lori: Update on my sister (TrailTroll) - Mom and I round the corner and head down the hall to Kristin's room and notice someone waving at us. Someone walking on their own with a walker. Sister. 😂 She walked a good distance. Since she was on mobile oxygen they put her in the wheelchair and said to take her for a spin! She loved it. She ate food today! French toast and milk. They downsized the trach tube! Makes it easier to talk. She had a fruit cup and yogurt. Sat in the chair twice! When the trach is done they'll move her four floors down to in patient rehab. Don't know when. Great day!!

One thing to add about my sister - the Miracle Girl - is 4 weeks ago yesterday they were explaining to my Mom, brothers and I how you end the life of a loved one on life support!! Today she ate a fruit cup😍❤️👏👍
