Other mystery and adventure....

I had a moment tonight when I realized that I was getting a touch of cabin fever - I was watching Indiana Jones with a stack of variety puzzle magazines on the coffee table in front of me, a copy of The Da Vinci Code on the couch beside me, and the website for The Mysterious Package Company pulled up on my laptop. :P

I got to wondering...what other ways do you bring adventure, mystery, and puzzle-solving into your lives when you aren't letterboxing?

I've tried a few Escape Rooms with friends and they can be a lot of fun (I recommend Perplexity Games in Brampton)

I'm curious if anyone here has tried The Mysterious Package Company or Black Letter Game?
I'd like to try TMPC since they are located in Toronto but I'd love to hear feedback from anyone that's tried it. I'm wondering what the prices are like.

That looks *amazing*! TMPC reminds me a bit of the Griffin and Sabine books that were all the rage a few years back. BLG also looks like a lot of fun... let us know if you decide to join!

I joined TMPC a few months ago but haven't ordered anything from them yet. Their "experiences" start at $99 - and they have a variety. Some are just a one-time curiosity, and others are much more involved (lasting weeks or even months). The descriptions sound VERY interesting... They also offer a quarterly publication that includes an ongoing story told with mysteries and puzzles - subscription is $25 annually, I think. It's free to apply to sign up, though, which gives you access to some of what they offer (but not all, apparently).
