Glad to get such a nice positive response! I will contact the patch people shortly - I used them before for a Nancy Drew patch and they do good work. I have another patch project going on and will have them print both at the same time - volume discount and all that. I'll let you guys know when they arrive!

The patch company has sent the proof and it looks very cool! Probably they will not be delivered until after the holidays. I am trying to figure out how many to order - there are obviously price breaks for greater quantities and there would be shipping charges to account for if I needed to reorder. However, I don't want to have a large surplus on hand and I have to pay cash up front so don't want to go too crazy. 100? 200? More? After 200 it looks like the volume discount drops off a bit. They will be 4.5" high and iron on. Please advise!

I agree do not order too many. We ordered 200 for the Fantasy Island event and over half are gathering dust on my shelves.......

do a numbered series, then everyone will want a two digit patch,,,,, and you can sell them for a fortune, retire from nursing and drive to flea markets all over California peddling your wares. Think of the people you'll meet, hairy, smelly ,toothless old men with an alcoholic twinkle in their eye all hankering for a California letterboxing patch with a number under 1000.......but what will your friends and kid say? the opportunities are endless, as is the rain and my creativity because Im not boxing today

I would do 100... should be enough. Unless someone else wants an order of their own or giving away or FF prizes, which then I would order more. I will take 5 for when I can give them as gifts.

Whoa! I stepped away from the boards for a day and you all went into a shopping frenzy (are you guys just getting warmed up for Black Friday or something?) Since I appear to already have 58 (!) pre-orders I think I should do more than 100. That will help keep the cost down too - I can set the price at $3 each. I'm not looking to make a profit here, but I would like to make back the costs ;-). For those I don't meet up with in person I'll have to figure out how much they cost to mail.
