So the ads (at least here in the Tucson, AZ area) have a 50% off coupon at Michaels. For all you carving fools out there (like me lately), that will bring the big sheet of the pink stuff down to under $10.

Also an FYI...if you have a smart phone, a lot of places, including Michaels, will scan the coupon right from your phone. So if you are in the store and headed to the checkout, just do a search for Michaels, then their coupons, and pull up the current coupon on your screen. You just hold the phone up for the cashier and he or she will scan it right from the screen.

I love when they have their paper craft sales. Scrapbook paper is 4 for a dollar. Hobby Lobby never has that! :-(

I won't buy their scrapbook paper until it is on sale! Sometimes I can get it for 17 cents a sheet!

Michaels coupons are better on Monday and Tuesday, and seem to decrease as the week goes on. They do lure pepole in with the 50% off coupon, but last time, every item I looked at was marked 5% off, so it would not qualify for the sale. That ticked me off. I ended up not buying anything.

The best sales are online, not necessarily Michaels, between Thanksgiving and December 1. I got 75% off Inktense blocks last year, which were normally $200. Glad I didn't spend $200, because I ended up not liking them.

Buy good artist quality, if you're going to spend money, and know what you're getting. I'm sticking with Prismacolor and Aubrecht Durer for colored pencils next time.

I have only ever seen a 4x6 in pink stuff at hobby. They also had a blue stuff which I hated and a weird super hard grey stuff. Never seen any at Michaels.

I bought one this week at my Michael's, with the coupon. In my store, it's in the fine art section near the calligraphy supplies.

I know what you mean. Whenever I try to use my JoAnn's 60% off coupon all of the papercrafting supplies are 30% off. Does Michael's accept competitor's coupons?

Agreed. None of my local craft stores (JoAnn's, Michael's, Benion's & Hobby Lobby) have and stamp making stuff. At least they have ink and paper, though I'm currently fully stocked. What else does a letterboxer but there? They don't carry Lock-n-Lock.

I find it easier to look up the coupon(s) before I get to the store, and take a screen shot. Sometimes there's not a good signal in the store, or I have trouble logging into the site. But I can easily show the "picture" to the clerk, and it scans just fine.

I've never seen pink stuff in a 9x12 sheet, but our local Michael's carries a 6x12 sheet. I haven't bought any lately, though, because I was disgusted at the crumbly version and dunno how to trust them again.
