is there a reason it needs to be an email.
If you want a digital version on your device, consider "printing" to a pdf or paperless printer.

If you have an iPad you should be using Clue Tracker (send me a PM).

looking to not have papers.....could take screen shots - not sure they'd be clear enough and some clues are very long...the AQ mobile app doesn't always work for us and can be VERY slow out in the middle of a mountain/field. email is just a convenient, readable, usually available native form on smart phone that seems like it would be easy. We have cut and pasted clues into email a fw times but I was thinking that having an "email this clue" button that would do that automatically would be nice. Just suggesting the feature. I think of it like the "email this" feature in amazon, except that the email would actually contain the clue instead of just a link to the AQ box page

The danger of email is to the letterbox itself. Someone (not you, but a malevolent being (MB)) could access the clue without being a registered member of AQ, fail to adhere to policies, and could compromise the box. Even if the alleged MB *does* register, and begins emailing clues to him/herself... and distributing electronically to non-members... I suppose that could happen anyway with cut and paste...

This is why you need an app. :-) You can't always count on having Internet access.

I often travel to "remote areas" (out of cell phone coverage). Using Clue Tracker, I can reference the clues without needing WIFI. Sometimes I travel to a region where there is cell coverage but there are so many visitors that you can't access the Internet so it is good to save those boxes too.

If you used an app, such as Clue Tracker, you could save all of the boxes in the area and then look at them without needing cellular coverage in the field.

My philosophy is to save lots of clues and update them every few months. Then I am available for impromptu boxing as well as planned trips. Currently, I have over 1000 clues (listings) saved on my iPad/iPhone. (Now I just need time to go find them!)

If you're using Box Radar, make sure to go to Settings/Box Radar and turn on the setting for Internal Storage: Persistent storage for use offline. This will allow you to look up clues while you're out in the woods and don't have a data connection.

That setting is just for images. Box Radar saves all the clues it downloads, but images take up a lot more room on a device.

Yeah, but sometimes the images are essential! And, of course, you don't realize that until you're waaaay out in the boonies trying to figure out where the ^$&^%$^ box is!

Excellent point that I hadn't considered. Thank you. Just thinking of I personally work best. Box radar doesn't always work for me.
