I work in an elementary school, and might need that many drinks after today. Wow. Talk about excited kids!

You apparently think I'm kidding, but of the top 30 hits on Google, the very few that are a name rather than a chemistry reference are an Italian singer and a romance writer. The very few images that aren't chemistry are pornographic. I find it difficult to understand how something that dozens of school children are supposedly excited about doesn't come up in a search. Google is as clueless as I am. Are you spelling elisa wrong?

There's no "i" in Elsa. :-)

Typing in "Elsa" into Google auto populated with "Elsa costume" and "Elsa frozen".

One letter makes all the difference. Clearly my children are now in their 20s, so "Frozen" went completely under my radar. Was it that popular of a movie that kids are clamoring for a costume a year later?

She (Elsa) is the newest Disney "Princess". I walked by an elementary school today, and saw a bunch of kindergarteners in costume. It looked like about 3/4 of the girls were dressed up as some kind of princess or another.

Yes, it was that popular. Even among adults like me. "Frozen" was the only Disney movie that I pre-ordered from Amazon instead of waiting until the release date. :-)

We only got one Elsa tonight. She requested a specific kind of candy, but was persuaded to go ahead and take what we were handing out.

Who's the biggest Frozen fan in my house? Yup..... moi. Pre-ordered the movie, bought the two CD set for the car, even saw each version in the theater (original, 3D, and Sing-a-long).

I was surprised to see that my two nieces were not Elsa and Anna for Halloween, since they just LOVE Frozen! (They even act out the whole movie with their Elsa and Anna Barbie Dolls from WDW (courtesy of their aunt of course ;-) )).

Ryan and I went to see Frozen at the outdoor movies in west Seattle at the end of the summer. It was like Rocky Horror Picture Show for tikes. Kids Dressed as characters, singing all the songs at the top of their lungs, reciting the dialogue, talking to the screen. Before they showed it they had a contest to see who had seen the movie the most times....I forget the exact number, but one mother and daughter had seen it more than 70 something. I remember thinking that it was at least once a day for 2 and a half months straight....

My favorite costume I saw was a Katniss from Hunger Games...leather jacket, boots, bow and quiver of arrows...she looked Kick A**

I'm finding my own ignorance hilarious. All I remember is a trailer with a snowman taking his head off and it just looked like a rip off of "Frosty". I had no idea a princess was in it. I just thought it came and went as another generic Christmas movie, and never gave it another thought until this thread. My kids were more into "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the "300" sequel. Like I said, not on my radar.

Neither am I.

I was really disappointed in Frozen. The bad guys were too blah, to be polite. I'm more a fan of Disney Villains than Princesses, so Frozen was a dud to me. Be Prepared is a much better karaoke song than Let It Go. Maybe if they'd kept Elsa evil I'd have liked it better.

You've got to sing "Do You Want to Carve a Snow Stamp?"

The thing that I liked about Frozen was that marrying a prince at the end wasn't presented as the solution to all the heroine's problems. It even showed that rushing into a relationship can be a mistake, and you should choose carefully.

The thing that I didn't like was hearing "Let It Go," everywhere for months!

One Elsa and one Anna for the night . 130 kids or so. We do hand out full sized candy bars so that's fun in seeing their reactions.
Opted for warm cider as it was cold and rainy. Dare I say it was to cold to drink beer.
Best costume was neighbor dad who dressed up like Daryl from The Walking Dead. Complete with vest with wings on the back, crossbow (toy) and fake rabbit pelts hanging over his shoulder.

Technically Elsa isn't a princess, but imstead a queen

I was referring to that group of female characters that Disney considers "princesses". Mulan is an official DP, although she is not royalty, for example. Elsa and Anna aren't officially recognized as DP yet, (some are saying they are "princesses in waiting") but it is just a matter of time before they join the others. Time Magazine Online has an interesting article about the voices of the DP http://entertainment.time.com/2013/11/27/14-disney-princesses-and-the-actresses-who-voiced-them/ that includes Elsa & Anna.

There is an official "Disney Princesses" website, and of course, "Disney Princesses" merchandise galore. My great niece flip flops between Han Solo and the princesses. I'm leaning towards Star Wars stuff for her this Christmas <G>.

You know, now that Disney owns Star Wars, Leia is a Disney Princess. You can do both for your niece.

Sometimes, when it comes to petty annoyances like this, you just have to "let it go."

Leia is a Disney Princess.

Yes and I've seen some images online in which it appears that Leia is not pleased about that. :-)
