You have nice siblings! I was the second born, and the only girl. My three brothers aren't usually super creative when it comes to birthdays, but they will spend time elaborately ribbing you in a birthday card!
I'm usually the one who loves getting creative with gifts. My dad is the same way. Knowing my love for parrots/animals in general, he picked out a really neat hand-painted feather and framed it for my birthday this year. :) I love stuff like that!

Don't feel bad. Wait until you're twice that. All in the way you think.

I laughed when I read this, as I'll be turning 50 soon! My friends (both over age 50) and I hiked a mountain yesterday. Yeah, it was a small mountain, but still, hitting 50 doesn't mean you're stuck in a rocking chair for the rest of your life!
Honestly, 50 isn't so bad, so don't worry too much about being half of 50! :^)

Sing it sister! And when you get so old you can retire it means you DON'T HAVE TO GO TO WORK ANYMORE!!

I'm 34 and I don't feel all that old. It's funny. The older you get, the less old it seems. 50 doesn't seem old to me anymore. Heck, look at Betty White. She's awesome and way past 50.
It's also interesting hearing people's ages because I had different pictures in my mind, some older, some much younger.

That's the best part.
Like this weekend, kayaking 2 days, letterboxing, finally going up in a sailplane, letterboxing.
Is it time for bed yet?

And how! I passed 50 a long time ago, but I certainly don't think of myself as old. In fact, inside, I think I'm somewere in my late 20s. Outside, well, there's arthritis creeping in.

Thank goodness!
I'm 67. Yesterday I walked 14 miles (nine of which was training for a marathon). Last week I walked more than 60 miles. The week before more than 90 miles.
This thread gave me the impetus to get out and do a 10k before breakfast even though I'm just a little sore. Thanks!
Happy birthday to the youngsters that started this thread.

I'm still getting over the sore from doing one of Shorty's hikes in Peoria, IL Saturday--& I didn't even find the box--bummer. Those Peoria hills kill me.

Hosmer, I was just thinking about that, too. I'm learning not only that people are not the ages that I assumed they are, but they are also not the sexes that I assumed they are. Lol, and I am 34 also. Turning 35 in October. :-)

I had always thought you were in your early 20's. It's not bad to seem younger than you are. ;-) I have until March before I'm 35. Happy early birthday!

My 20's were fun. Joined the military, got married, had two kids, changed states six times. Exciting times. Oh, I also learned about letterboxing. I still forget I'm in my 30's sometimes. You're just so energetic and happy all the time, you seem young. I didn't mean it in a bad way. :)

Same here!! My 25th year was a pretty good one too, did lots of things I really enjoyed that year 'just because' and that's a great thing to be able to look back on. But turning 30 was really the best birthday so far. it was and exciting time in my life. We'll see what next year brings when 40 rolls around. I'm looking forward to it :D

I'm about 14 months away from 40. I don't pay much attention. They just keep sliding by. The Mrs' says I still act like I'm 12 when my family is around. 8-P

What I really want to do in life right now is be argumentative, so if I agree... does that mean I should click disagree? =)

Happy Belated Birthday.
I'd like to congratulate you on the second anniversary of your twelve and a half birthday. Now put that cocktail down -- you are not of age yet!
