its like that nightmare, where you're stuck in the really scary fun house! Not very fun. I will have nightmares about this for years to come.

I think most of us will. For those few who are actually enjoying this, GT posted a link to these nightmares in this message.

Oh my...This must be what it is like to have a reading disability. I will have much more empathy for those folks now!

That could be the original April Fool theme. I set it las week and have wached things change at will. Very nice when it was icky out and I got the Sunflowers!

And boy am I ever glad that Miss Williason taught me to touch type on a keyboard without markings. This makes it a cinch!!

I think that's because today its set to affect every theme. I have a set theme all the time, and its still on that theme, but I'm also getting the acid trip effect. Glad I have some tie-dye in the closet. ;)

It's not so much that it's set to affect every theme--just that none of the already existing themes have created "defenses" against the attack. In theory, you could create your own theme that would counter-balance what today's theme is doing.

But where the fun in that? =)

I'm guessing that by the time I learned how to make my own theme, this boat will stop rocking. ;)

Every time I get to a page that is just too weird, I hit F5 and refresh the page until I get something workable.

Because then I wouldn't have an even bigger headache. This is so annoying and impossible to work with. I am hitting refresh over and over just to get something that doesnt make my vision swim. Right now I am typing in a box htat is upside down. Next time I am just not coming on the site all day. I can't take the nausea of the headache.

From what I understand, dislexia effectively scrambles letters. Os it wluod be mroe ikel siht. Wudol uyo ikle to yrt ot reda ikle isth lal eth imet? Tish istralluiont is dcultiff neouhg woutith ym tleabt rretcocgni ym lleingsp.

Maybe I should write a clue in dislexia-speak. };-)

I could actually read that just fine. And sure, write a clue like that, though it has been done before...

You must have much more experience with it than me. I wrote it and I had trouble with the longer words.

And sure, write a clue like that, though it has been done before...

What should I search for? I'd like to see if it was done differently than I'm thinking of.

Yeah, I was hoping to help ya with that, but I'll have to dig through my papers to find them. I can't remember who did them. It may have even been from an event clue book. If I find out, I'll let you know.

Thanks for the example. That one's actually readable. I may do it like that or maybe even more messed up.

I want more examples of letterboxes. I'm assuming that there are more out there.

dislexia effectively scrambles letters.

It not only scrambles letters, but you read words in a different order then what is written. As an avid dyslexic, I could read
Os it wluod be mroe ikel siht. Wudol uyo ikle to yrt ot reda ikle isth lal eth imet? Tish istralluiont is dcultiff neouhg woutith ym tleabt rretcocgni ym lleingsp.

perfectly lol

I was good till I got to this point - I figured out most of this sentence but gasping at some of it too. Oh, oh, oh I finally translated it.

Holy smokes! Imagine the clues you could write with this ability.

I found this clue while researching Lewis & Clark yesterday. It uses several different ways of messing up the text.

Oh my...This must be what it is like to have a reading disability.

Interestingly, as a person with (mild) dyslexia, I did not find this at all disconcerting. Perhaps there is some advantage to dyslexia along with the disadvantages. I also did not have as much trouble as my husband adjusting to driving on the other side of the road when shifting between the US and New Zealand.
