I originally asked the question because we had never had buckwheat pancakes. We weren't sure we would like them, as I had heard they were gritty. Soooo, I went out and bought some buckwheat pancake mix. Now buckwheat are our favorite pancakes. They have soooo much more flavor than the bisquick pancakes we had been eating.

It's all my mom used while I was growing up so It's what I liked. It's funny how we tend to cling to things that are familiar to us. I always teased gail because she thought Hillshire Farms was the only good kielbasa out there. Then I introduced her to some kielbasa from an actual Polish meat market. Now she sees and tastes the difference.

BISQUICK???????????????
You shouldn't even be allowed in the kitchen!!! BISQUICK?????

for the baking challenged who still use bisquick, how would you adapt this recipe? i would love to know how and be able to use a variety of flours. tonight we made pumpkin bread that called for AP flour and used part AP, wheat, oatmeal, and brown rice flours.

apple oven pancake
