Many, many thanks to both Housepitality Hostess and Hppy2BMom for their countless hours planning, preparing, and hosting a wonderful event. I especially enjoyed meeting letterboxers from here, there, and everywhere -- letterboxers are delightful people!

Prairie View Park was a great location -- thanks for that wonderful choice. The carves were delightful, the walks we took were perfect, and the weather couldn't have been scripted better.

My only regret is that I can't come a second day (and, probably, third and fourth day) to find all the boxes I didn't have time for.

Renea, Robyn...you are the best. Do it again sometime, will you? :)

I have to second everything Angel Winks said.

What an outstanding and active event. We loved the trails, the boxes, and all the people. There was so much food and my pats on the back to that wonderful lady managing the food (I'm sorry I can't remember your name - but I met sooooo many people yesterday). Let's not forget Wickedly Tangled and her friends that set up the decorations and the tables. Very well done.

As I put Vicksburg in my rear-view mirror this morning I will do so with fond memories. Looking forward to my return again in the future.

Oh yeah! and I was the first person captured. Cool :-)

Couldn't agree more with all the thanks and positive comments for Housepitality Hostess and Hppy2BMom!

Only wishing more hours could have been crammed into the day somehow as there is never enough time to do all the visiting and boxing. Still, managed to meet some wonderful people from postal & LTC land (Socks3, Poof, 4Eyes, Shooz). Great to touch base with some old friends too (doglvrs, Springchick, Angel Winks, Tiptoe (never did see Tonto). Martini Man, Wisconsin Hiker, glad to have gotten the chance to at least say HEY to you guys. So nice to meet the talented and gracious Wickedly Tangled, and Prairie State Achievement, thanks for the totally last minute exchange at the gate!

AW, thanks for introducing me to Purple Aces, got one of the compliments that now lives in my personal "WOW" book. Thank you both for your kind hearts. Met some great people and did exchanges on the trail too, that was so much fun! Met some Indiana boxers too - yippee!

Drug around (HA, grateful beyond imagination) with BBStacker and Cootie Queen, and CQ's wonderful sister and her husband, Son of a Sailor. SOS - newbies? More like born letterboxers who had been waiting to happen! Walked my legs off, found things there was no way I would have come up with myself. Rhubarbish joined us for a time too, we were a very inconspicuous herd ... !

What a great, great day! Beautiful weather, great food, perfect venue, outrageous carves and truly wonderful company. After church today, I only plan to be woken up by the cell phone alerts for when the Colts score!

I agree with all of you, and would like to add that even though I attended by myself, which made going for SOOO many boxes a little overwhelming, I had a fantastic time and met so many wonderful people, and got the chance to hit the trails with a few boxer friends I'd met at other events. What a mix-new AND familiar boxers, and more stamps than you can imagine! (Which is way better than not enough!) And I am so impressed with the enormous attention to detail, the organizing, and the overall running of the event....big shout-outs to Housepitality Hostess, Happy2Bmom, and everyone else who helped out! Looking forward to seeing you all at the next event! :-D

Agree, agree, agree, agree! This was our first event, and I've been so excited about it that I was afraid I'ld be disappointed because it couldn't possibly live up to my expectations! Well.... it did within the first several minutes! So... what is it about LBers that make them so special that you can walk into an event like that, when you've barely met a handful of them prior to the event, and feel like you're at a family reunion? Awesome and overwhelming fun yesterday, everything I hoped for plus! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in planning this!

I had a really good time at this event! I was surprised at the turnout, since Kalamazoo County doesn't have any really big parks, but I was happy to see so many people whom I've met in passing on the eastern side of the state!

I know that Housepitality Hostess and friends (I'm really bad with names...if you know me, you know THAT), worked really hard on this event, and as far as I can tell as a lazy letterboxer, it went pretty smoothly. Frankly, I had fun, and I'm definitely not an outdoorsy sort of girl ;).

I'm not sure if I had more fun because I live five miles from the park, so didn't need GPS to find it, or because I'm the one who arrested our hostess, or just because quite a few of the friends I've made from the eastern side of the mitten also decided to enjoy this event. It could even be the lying, cheating, stealing, and meeting even more new friends :)

All I know for sure is that if I was called upon to put on an "event," I could never have done it with so much aplomb! If I were to complain about anything, being a lazy letterboxer, it would be that I lasted about six hours (record for me) and we weren't even a third of the way through. How can I complain, though, when so much work went into an event?

All in all, and yes, I've been doing this for around 18 months, so I'm sure many of you would still call me a noob, I would have to call this one a success, especially for a hostess & friends who were doing it for the first time!

Congrats HH! Sounds like it went awesome! We were so incredibly sad that we couldn't come. My 7 year old got a concussion and was suffering post- concussion symptoms so I just couldn't be that far from him. I sooo hope you'll do another event some day and we can attend. Cant wait to see kore pictures :)

Same here! I wish I could've met more people (I always say that) but the few new ones I did meet were Awesome - it was a pleasure! It was a crazy amount of boxing, but surprisingly we weren't on top of each other. Only ran into two teams the whole time, and we morphed with one of them, which made it all the more fun. My only wish is that I would've been handcuffed....missed out on walking the plank.

Great job, Renae! You rock!

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.

You guys did an outstanding job. I think it will be hard to top this event. I had fun the whole time, even when I was frustrated boxing by myself (yeah, THAT didn't last long...LOL!) I was still having fun! My kids were counting my new stamps in my logbook and were amazed that I got so many...they even conceded that they wouldn't have been able to keep up with me. Though I will say, you also were well prepared to have kids at the event as well, there was plenty at Jamaica for the younger set to keep themselves occupied with!

Kudos and anticipation for the next one!!! Oh, and my handcuffs did come home with me...fuzzy or not. ;-)
