Greetings Pennsylvanians and nearby folks. After a 5.25 year run and over 2^6 sets of finders, it is time to put this series to rest. Originally planted for the Alienteering gathering, this series used the permanent orienteering course at French Creek State park, mostly in Berks County, PA.

But, time has taken its toll on the series - broken stamps, unsealed bags, soggy logs, full logs and the disappearance of the beloved Gorok to name some things that have afflicted the series. Some poor container choices probably resulted in some of the damages incurred.

Soooo, the next time I visit French Creek sometime this fall, I will pull the series. It may be October, I am guessing.

In its place will be something slightly different. A certain British spy is celebrating 50 years in cinema this November. So, fire up your route gadget and maybe you will be able to seek him out....

In all likelihood I will be pulling the boxes this afternoon (Sun, Sept 30), in order to make my plans for next weekend work (helping one of our troop's Boy Scouts on his Eagle Scout project on the morning of the 6th and meeting with the Red Hatters that afternoon). I will be orienteering in nearby Nolde Forest the latter part of this morning, grabbing lunch then heading over to French Creek sometime early to mid afternoon.

So, get them while you can.....

All of my other boxes were undamaged, even those in the fire zone from April.

You just need to ascend some hills to get them.
