our family went though TrappedEscapeRoom.com in Upland yesterday and really enjoyed it. It was like solving 20 letterbox clues in one hour and of course being reminded that the poison gas would be released if we failed added to the suspense..... well sorry to be a spoiler but the gas never went off...……………...because we escaped! couldn't have made it without Bumblebeebunny, the mad boxer, arangutang and pottamiss

I would really love to do an Escape Room with other letterboxers. You guys who do them all the time, do you try to beat your time now? I am reminded of the Big Bang Theory episode and the guy says to them, no money refunded if you escape too early!! LOL

Each room has a different quantity, density, and difficulty of puzzles, so there's not really a sort of consistency to be able to beat past times... But my team does usually attempt to come close to or beat the record for fastest time in each room we play!

He has 3 different rooms at his Upland location, and 2 at the San Dimas location. We are trying Grandma's Surprise this Saturday.

I almost reached out to a few of you to see if you might like to collaborate, but I thought I'd see if anyone had anything planned first. I'm still recovering from surgery and am a little afraid to take on anything by myself, but if you think you might be interested in planning a little something with me, hit me up!

The pub I've had my eye on for a Clocks Change event is the Britannia Arms in Cupertino - maybe one of the San Jose peeps could check out if it is an appropriate set-up for our gang. The other place I have considered is the Commonwealth Pub on Telegraph near Pill Hill in Oakland. That one would be much easier for our newly minted Mrs Kudichan to check out. But it might be too small - the Kensington Circus was deemed "unfit" for that reason previously.

Grumpy Grinch posted one of the clock change events at the Britannia Arms down in Cupertino a few years ago. I thought it went very well and the place was big enough.

Looks like I had the wrong Britannia Arms. There's one in Almaden near Scrambl'z which is where GG hosted their clock change, not the one in Cupertino.

I remember that one, with the big red phone booth outside. I forgot that it was *also* called Britannia Arms.

Yes, we are still having it! Trying to pin down a location...

Is it set up as an automatic response? Do we need to have a battery pack on us?

There is a box down south that uses phone and e-mail. You have to send in the correct answer to get the next clue. My phone nearly ran out of power trying to find the boxes in the series.

That was a fun distraction amidst my remodeling mess even though I'll probably never get to CA.
