I posted a new swap...it's going to be a series of swaps. I really enjoyed the art study swaps that we did because I learned how to use my products in a different way. I also was amazed at how others created their cards in the restricted art movement. The cards were so interesting and unusual...different ideas than what I had. It was great!

I don't think this series will be as difficult as our previous but you can get as creative and difficult as you want. You can watch youtube videos, search blogs, or just play!!

Hi! Back in 2014 there was a Sea Monsters LTC swap that I hosted. A member had me keep a set for them, but they never completed their part of the swap and now are no longer active.

Since the cards have just been sitting around, first person to send me an AQ mail can have them. There are 10 cards in total. Also, if the person who gets them also wants to trade for some of my active cards, I can mail them with the set.

The set has been claimed. Have a happy holidays everyone!

I looked at all of the stamps shown on the article. None of the individual stamps are better than what I've seen on LTCs I've received. He knows how to put them together, and how to sell them. That seems to be the skill of a lot of people who become famous and/or rich from their art.

He is from Britain though, so any LTC tracker would be more expensive. Maybe we could get him to plant rubber stamps in Britain, so that they will have letterboxing like we do here.

Here's an idea for several trackers to be posted in 2019. Participants agree to watch an instructional You Tube video together and we will all experiment and try something new. The main objective is to learn and have FUN!

My understanding (certainly up for correction) is that they aren't into rubber stamps in letterboxes as much as we are. Isn't it here in the US that adding rubber stamps to letterboxes started? I know they originally had postcards in letterboxes, but have rubber stamps made their way back across the pond? They probably have.

You may be aware that rates are changing yet again on 1/27/2019. Forever stamps will increase to $.55 (from $.50) and extra ounce stamps will decrease to $.15 (from $.21). This is actually a cost break if you are mailing LTCs in large flats, which will cost as follows:
weight(oz) - price
1 - 1.00
2 - 1.15
3 - 1.30
4 - 1.45
5 - 1.60
and so on . . . averages are less than we are paying now - how’s THAT for a post-Christmas gift??
Consider buying extra forever stamps before the price goes up.

Me, too. I’ve been a holdout, still using a padded mailer, but now that I would have to take it to the post office to calculate the zone and rate, make sure I’ve put that much inside for the return trip, and have them putting stickers all over the outside that are not on the removable taped part . . . it’s just not worth the trouble to me.

I'll probably still use the padded mailers. I will just have to put postage for the highest zone both in and out.

There is a postal zone chart that you can download and, based on your zip code, will tell you what zone all the other zip codes are in, if you want to go that route.
