Hello All!
I will be doing some training in Westford, MA from Feb 4th-8th (with a possible hanging-around-for-letterboxing on Sat Feb 9th, if there is some interest).

I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet up with some of my Northeastern Friends, if anyone wants to do a Meet-n-Greet...

We are in search of folks to sign up to carve stamps for the Woodstock event. It's music, its the late 60's... its fun stuff. Pretty please...

If you can carve one or more stamps - sign up on the trackers on the event page. Stamps are needed by June 1st. Thanks in advance!

I definately own you at least one - I'll take a look and see what I can do for ya... Haven't carved in a while due to work, life etc., but need to get back at it. I'll let ya know after I take a look and try to clear a few more things off my damn list... ;)

Hope all the eggs you hide get found...

...except for one of those, that doesn't get found until the end of summer, and a kid finally finds it and runs in the house all excited, almost tripping over the floor mat, launching the egg across the room, where it finally hits the floor and instantly fills the house with an unmistakable aroma...

Ahhhh, I can picture mom's face now...

But, that's probably just me. ;)

Hi! We are moving to Connecticut and looking forward to letterboxing up there. We are happy to drive for weekends away in nearby states, too. Let us know of any favorites for families with younger kids ages 3-7)!

Let us know of any favorites for families with younger kids ages 3-7)!

There are over 2500 active listings in Connecticut on AQ (the maximum number of the AQ returns -- I have no idea how many active boxes are actually here), so it's just about impossible to pick any particular box that would be good with kids.

Instead I'd look for locations, and consider traffic. In Fairfield County you would want to avoid I-95 and the Merritt Parkway on weekdays. Doesn't matter what time of day. Dinosaur State Park is a great spot for kids and there are also some letterboxes. But again, that's off of I-91, which can get jammed during rush hour. And they are closed Mondays or something, I forget. I took my kids to Black Rock State Park because it's right off of Route 8 and there's a small beach you can swim at, and then go hiking and find some boxes. Basically any public park location in Connecticut is bound to have boxes. It's the longer trails that sometimes have nothing, especially in the Northwest hills.

The AQ Statics page has the answer.
7,472 in CT. Behind only MA with 7,627.

WOW!!!! It's hard to believe Ma. has more boxes than Ct. I'd have imagined they were WAY ahead of all states. Good to know.

To be fair, Mass is a bigger state. I think CT still has more per square mile.
