Anyone know what happened to Box Radar? It seems the app just disappeared.

That depends on the device . . . I believe Boxradar was created for androids, while ClueTracker is an iPhone app.

When you say it disappeared, do you mean that it disappeared off the Google Play store, or off your device? I checked my phone after you posted this and see that Boxradar is still on my phone, and appears to still work (at least as much as it has worked lately).

I have an Android, Clue Tracker is not available for Androids !!! :(

I have a Samsung and Box Radar worked somewhat, OK enough that I kept it but when I brought a new phone it did not transfer along with my other apps to the new phone. :(

Went to my Play Store to download it again and it wasn't there anymore.

The Here button on AQ is a little helpful but nothing like Box Radar was.

I really really miss not having it. :(

Mine was at least coming on still in November but now it immediately stops. Very sad as I only have a droid so can't switch to clue tracker:(

If you have used Box Radar a significant amount and are interested in testing a new Android-based Letterboxing app and will be able to do a significant amount of testing, please contact me. The authors are looking for about 5 people to do the testing.

I'd LOVE to use a new Box Radar app! My daughter's baby is due this week so I am sticking close to home, so I can't volunteer to test it-but I sure would like an update on it, and info on how to get it if it checks out!

what do you consider to be "a significant amount of testing"? what does that look like? Actually using it while on the hunt, or just checking for nearby boxes and comparing that to what shows up on an AQ search?
I'd like to help, but probably won't be out looking for too many boxes in the next couple months.

I'm in. I would be happy to test. I used Box Radar all the time. ONe of my favorite features was that it showed boxes from both websites on one combined map/list view.

Have you ever folded your signatures, set them aside for tomorrow then couldn't find them?

Fortunately, I just started looking around for something else and found them. I'll be putting together my logbook tonight.

I stitched together the signatures, glued the cardboard inside the cover paper, and glued the signatures inside of the cover. It is now drying under a book with a board on top and then weighed down. It should be ready in the morning for planting.

This is a replant. I'm waiting until the early afternoon so that it will be warm when I go traipsing through the snow to plant this letterbox. When I get back I'll have to remember to post how deep the snow was. The box will go about 400 feet from the parking lot along a trail. The forecast shows that it will be below freezing, but there is no snow in the forecast.

A book, including a log book, is made up of multiple signatures. However, our usage of log book is wider. I've seen some log books made up of interesting folds and cuts of paper.

Remembering to put The Word of the Day calendar on her Christmas list

The roads were clear, and the parking lot had been packed down by previous vehicles. The trail was easy to follow at first, but I lost it about half way to the location. I even went the wrong way, but when there was no clear way I went back to where I was sure and tried again. I eventually found the place along the trail and planted the letterbox.

Then I went back uphill, through the knee-deep snow. 🐸 It is too bad that it wasn't a frog stamp that I was planting. 🐸

After this tangent I made, I thought of carving a stamp for every animal emoji, but there are too many. There are only 2 dog glyphs but 11 cat glyphs. (See page 2.) This means that the cats rule the Internet.
