Another great Susquehanna Sojourn! Game day and game night have never been more fun. Though the temps were in the 90's the stamps and the fun did not melt. A night boxing game of Clue was a fun way to end the day. Thanks again for hosting such a fabulous event!

Well, I haven't been in to the Sojourn in 7 years. Boy, have I missed out! Everyone was so nice! Even when I lost a Monopoly stamp! So embarrassing! Here are some highlights....
- shady trails
- even with a bunch of people, you could still box alone and peacefully enjoy the nature around you
- seeing old friends
- meeting new friends
- fastest raffle ever
- more boxes than you care to do on a hot day
- wonderful chinese at the Chow
- night boxing with a game that made you think, ponder, wonder with pleasant company
- easy camping option
- cool fan powered cooling that kept the room pleasant
- amazing artists everywhere!
- cold cooler full of water! Thanks Lockwench!

I probably did 20% of the boxes that were available, and I had such a wonderful time! Going through the lists today I realize how many people I missed meeting this time around, so will definitely be trying to bring the whole family next year!

Winter is Coming!!!

The Winter Blahs 2018 will be on December 8, 2018 in Catskill (not The Catskills) NY. Like previous Blahs it will be a ONE day event!

I was just there hiking for a few days! It was a gorgeous place!

Uhm, but please don't plant in the snow on some of those crazy rocky climbs... I don't think sledding down those is a good idea.

Where did you go hiking?

I was hiking some of the Thomas Cole sites - http://www.hudsonriverschool.org/trails/1 - so I guess I wasn't exactly in Catskill. Kaaterskill Falls and North-South Lake were wonderful, and I'm happy to have an excuse to go back (as long as holiday plans don't get in the way).

I've done some hiking on those trails. It's a beautiful area, though I quite agree that I'd prefer not to do it in snow! From what Phoenix Rizing said, though, it sounds like the event will be closer to the town of Catskill itself, though.

Just remember, Thomas Cole and Frederick Church (among others) did those same climbs with easels and canvases and all sorts of artist's equipment on their backs!

I was in the Harriet Tubman visitor's center and asked for the box as per the clue. The box is called Moses of her People. Imagine my surprise when I was handed a box and a bag. In the bag was a large carving of Harriet and a large brown ink pad, no log book. The initials KB are on the carving. Does anyone know the name of this box? I have searched other finders of the Moses of her People box, but haven't found any reference to this second carving. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

KB is probably for Kelly Bonsignore, or Kelbons the box’s owner. Maybe the logbook got lost.
