I BElieve I downloaded Chrome because there was some other AQ issue regarding Safari. I don't remember what it was.

Not all of us worship at the Chrome Throne. Simple as that. They are both good browsers. I prefer Safari. Other than the issues I have encountered on AQ with regard to Safari I have no problems with it and like it. Simple as that.

Tim Holtz uses a spray from Ranger that works on his markers that are water based so it may work.

Here's what I do. I get an eyedropper full of water, take the cap off the marker, hold the marker nib end up, carefully drop a single drop of water on the marker nib, wait for it to soak in, and then drop another drop, wait for it to soak in, and repeat this process a bunch of times - I just guesstimate how much I need based on how dry the marker is, the barrel diameter, etc. Then cap tightly, let the marker rest nib point up for a bit, test, and repeat if needed.

I've used this technique on several different brands of water-based markers and it seems to work pretty well.

Good luck

Yep - it is Lock Wench. I was just AQ mailing with her about buying some find patches myself. She said she has the 5000 one in stock!

Boxing Vandalism at Center Cemetery, Lebanon

I have just been informed that the "Black" boxes - a wonderful tag along series of boxes planted by many boxers over several years - have recently been massacred! Connecticut Croaker wrote to say that she was boxing there on April 28, and found many boxes missing, lids cracked, stamps removed, and general destruction that could only be vandalism. This is a very old and quiet cemetery, with few visitors paying respects. It is hard to imagine a maintenance landscaper would have destroyed so many so quickly.

I have changed the status of my Black Mouse to unavailable, but I really wanted to write "executed".

I am in a quandary, whether we should attempt to rebuild and replace this series, or declare this particular location a letterboxing black hole and avoid all future plants there. This cemetery series deserves a proper requiem.

Sue and I are cruising HI with 10 other letterboxers May 5 to 12. After that, we’ll be on Oahu for over a week with two other boxers, TsukiAmes Ames and Jai. We’d love to meet somewhere for coffee, lunch or a meal with any local letterboxers.

Let us know if you’re available from Sunday, May 13 to Sunday, May 20.
Thanks,

Mark Pepe

I’m looking forward to Texas and L&B
I haven’t signed up for the event yet. And I’m sure this question has been brought up before.
My husband is not a boxer (I know!)
We won’t be staying at camp. I hope to find a near by hotel.
My question is, he’ll need a pass to get in, but he won’t want a clue book or a patch.
What should I do when I sign up?

Yes, my Damsel, Black Snake and Black Snake in recovery met their demise. It would seem that the perp must have had the clues in order to find all of these boxes, it doesn't look random. I'll be interested to learn what the rest of you want to do.

First Friday in May is "No Pants Day". Lets have a Zombie riding a bike with no pants on. Now that would be a sight to see.

First Friday is may 4th, star wars day.

So it will be a storm trooper zombie with no pants (maybe heart boxers??) riding a bicycle.

I like to see clues too. I use the tracker page but not the save finds, I just click on each card thru the tracker page and then log from the card page.

I was there on April 5th excited to do this whole series, only to be disappointed with the first couple missing turning to shocked and angry when it became apparent that someone had done this to these on purpose. I stopped searching after not finding Black Cat, Black Dog, Black Dragon, Black Knight and Damsel.

Here in RI, the fear is real. The ticks are out of control, and most carry Lyme and Babesia. There are so many cases of chronic Lyme disease around here that many doctors, including mine, routinely prescribe prophylactic antibiotics for any tick bite. The pastor that married us took ill one day and couldn’t stop fainting. Went to ER, had no blood pressure - his spleen was 10X its normal size and it burst - all from a tick bite that carried Babesia. Our dog has arthritis in her hips at age 3 due to chronic Lyme disease from a tick bite.

There is not a separate admission price for noxers. However, the location of the event is open to the public while L&B is going on. I suppose that he could simply show up with you and pay the admission fee for the park directly to the park. I think it is $5 for adults.

This is from the L&B XX website:

Registration (Adult $49, Child (age 6-12) $20, Child (under 6) Free) – mandatory for each person

Children under 6 DO NOT receive a registration package (clue book etc). If you want a package for them, purchase the older child registration instead.

Paid registration includes:

Park entrance fees
Name tag and lanyard – please wear this during the weekend
Bound clue book
Patch
Raffle ticket
Surprise gift(s)
Covers facilities rental costs, all group activities, decorations, and materials needed for the event

Thanks for the info. I have registered and made all me reservations and am coming from Georgia. The group rate at Best Western seems to be the best price right now. Southwest Airlines the cheapest flights and no baggage fees. Some airlines would be same price for the flight but added fees. If you find flight for less later on Southwest would give you a credit but the "I wanna fly" tickets are non-refundable. Used Priceline for best price on rental car. See ya'll in October!

Having watched about 240 episodes of Criminal Minds, I feel we need to profile this Unsub. Are we dealing with a suspect who is a thrill seeker or are they mission-oriented? But seriously, I wouldn't plant there again, in case this is related to the use of the site.
