My husband and I are running away from this Illinois winter and coming to Gulf Shores. I will be setting up a small event in hopes to meet other letterboxers. I will most likely be on a Saturday for those of you who are working.

Hi everyone!
Way back in 2007 we joined Atlasquest as oliverfamily. We LOVED letterboxing and getting to know everyone. (and still do!) We took a long break when we moved out of the country, but we're back! I see that there are still a few familiar boxers! Yay!! It seems that our number have dwindled over the years, maybe we just haven't been back long enough.. Anyway, we're telling everyone we know about letterboxing and we plan to plant at least 20 new boxes this spring and summer. Does anyone have any ideas about how to spread the word?

Why did moving out of the country require taking a break from letterboxing? Not popular where you were? Not possible where you were?

We went to language school in Costa Rica and the took every moment and all the brain power we had.. lol And then we went to Ecuador to be missionaries. It wasn't super popular there and we had a great deal of other things that took up our time.

We're about 45 minutes north of Birmingham

My daughter lives just south of B'ham in Helena. We will be there the 12 - 17. I had planned to do some boxing, but will try to get some planted as well. So many in Alabama have disappeared over the years, but we had a great event near Huntsville recently. A beautiful place to visit and box.

My in-laws live in Trussville & I have a brother in Oneonta. We have boxes in Trussville.

Got in today a few days in advance of the letterboxing event this weekend. Have to say we really enjoyed the drive in because of the color changing of the leaves. Really excited about the upcoming event. Can't wait to see everyone !!!

I had to come home early too DS. Missing the AL event. Had the best day Sunday in Texas and Sunday night I went totally down-hill in a heart beat, literally. It was nice spending some time with you.
