Yikes ain't the half of it, many probably boiling upon reading this, as I am. Killing our world is what's happening, if its not the animals its the land, our oceans, and the air that we breath. :-(

oooooh, first time I've heard it described as a cult....

Members of cults rarely see their own organization as a cult.

I did a presentation on letterboxing at our library for the summer reading program activities our first year into it.
After a basic run through of the hobby, we made the foam jar lid stamps ( they were younger kids, and I didn't have $ to purchase many carving supplies). I did hide 6 or7 stamps inside the library. the clues had to be found by using the computer card catalogue. So it also helped them learn where things are in the library.

We also made it an event. I invited area letterboxers and we had about 5 or 6 show up. Had a poster and a logbook as well. It was fun!

Members of cults rarely see their own organization as a cult.

Letterboxing is a religion, and Atlas Quest is a temple to that religion. And everyone bows down and worships me as their savior.

See? Nothing about cults. Not part of the program! =)

You should definitely enlist the help of HarmonyMA! I'm not available to assist you in person, but I do have a couple of library plantings you can check out. Here are the clue links:
Vero Beach, FL:
IRC Library - "Orange you glad you stopped by?"
Wakefield, MA:
The Lighthouse - Beebe Library
(This is a very special one which is close by. You might want to check it out for yourself if you have time!)

Hope that's helpful!!! ;o)

Can I be a Pope? I'm a natural for it; everyone always tells me that I'm "full of pope" (or something like that).

Have any of you ever presented a program at a library before?

I did a presentation on "The History of Letterboxing" at the LB-Con a few years back. Does the Library have a good Fire Insurance policy?

My aunt and uncle joined a new age cult in the sixties (for real!), and one of the first things they did was change their names. What does that say about us?

Signed,

Of course it is! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

I have to admit, though--Ryan is my trailname. Green Tortuga is actually my real name, but people mix them up all the time. *shrug*

Up here in Maine, over 400,000 people in the state lost power on Sunday night due to a powerful Nor' Easter. Winds were close to hurricane strength and a lot of rain. So Maine is still recovering.
