Are you sure that's not just a winter thing? Sleeping Giant locks most of their bathrooms for the winter.
My first job
Board: Yakking It Up

1. My first job was working in an Orange Juice factory, but I got canned… I couldn’t concentrate.
2. Then I worked in the woods as a Lumberjack, but just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe.
3. After that, I tried being a Tailor, but wasn't suited for it -- mainly because it was a sew-sew job.
4. Next, I tried working in a Muffler Factory, but that was too exhausting.
5. Then, tried being a Chef - figured it would add a little spice to my life, but just didn't have the thyme.
6. Next, I attempted being a Deli Worker, but any way I sliced it.... couldn't cut the mustard.
7. My best job was a Musician, but eventually found I wasn't noteworthy.
8. I studied a long time to become a Doctor, but didn't have any patience.
9. Next, was a job in a Shoe Factory. Tried hard but just didn't fit in.
10. I became a Professional Fisherman, but discovered I couldn't live on my net income.
11. Managed to get a good job working for a Pool Maintenance Company, but the work was just too draining.
12. So then I got a job in a Workout Center, but they said I wasn't fit for the job..
13. After many years of trying to find steady work, I finally got a job as a Historian - until I realized there was no future in it.
14. My last job was working in Starbucks, but had to quit because it was the same old grind.
15. SO, I TRIED RETIREMENT… AND I FOUND I'M PERFECT FOR THE JOB!

dye based ink
Board: Tools of the Trade

I hope this is the right board to ask. I carved a stamp that should be stamped in gold ink. I tried stamping with pigment ink, but there are important, fine details that don't appear in the stamped image. I stamped with a dye based ink and it comes out perfectly, but I'm not aware of a gold dye based ink. Does anyone know of a gold dye based ink or some other medium that would allow fine details to appear and is the color gold?
enjoy~

Am I the only one checking the DEEP site for the new challenge? I doubt it... so I hope they really DO post it today.
I think I've refreshed the page about 30 times so far.

What kind of inks did you try? Tsukineko metallics are my favorite. I have been using the same 4 dew drops for a couple years now.

I am so ready to try job #15, but unfortunately I'm not old enough.
But honestly, my first job was as an assistant in the city library. I have turned a lot of pages since then.

Agree. Those are the only metallics I like. Sometimes the new pads are really juicy, so you might have to not put too much ink on the stamp, or even blot the ink pad just a little.
Has anyone ever tried the Staz On Metallics? I have not. Honestly I usually use fine gold embossing powder instead, but the Tsukineko is my favorite if I had to use just ink.

I have a stamp ready to carve, just need to know if I'll get to use and date it for 2017 or put it aside for another year.

I love Staz-On Metallic. They are a little more work to use and have to be re-inked often, but the re-inker comes with it and is easy, The coverage is fantastic if you get the pad evenly saturated. They also have an Opaque White that I love.

That would be funny if you used his Final Jeopardy! question for one of your plants. If I remember correctly, his was on Impressionist artists. They were shown a painting and asked for the artist. The answer was Cezanne, he put Monet (I think). We have never been able to look at a bowl of fruit the same way ;-)
Congrats again to your friend.
