it is with a sad heart that i bid msdragonfli (joanne boucher) a farewell from this earth. although she has not been active on atlas quest for quite awhile she continued to be a good friend and a faithful letterboxer. nothing is known about her death at this time. the police are still investigating as a suspicious death.

Wow, I did not know she was a letterboxer. She lived in the next town over from where we live. It's a little disconcerting with so little information about her death. Condolences to friends and family. I hear her sister was the one who alerted the police because she hadn't heard from her in a while. Heartbreaking.

A couple years ago I planted a box in Andover thinking it would get visitors... Sadly it hasn't and this is a VERY special stamp to me. I would like to pull the box but being in Pennsylvania it is hard for me to get up there.

Is there anyone willing to do this for me and mail it back? I wouldn't need the whole box just the stamp and I would be happy to compensate you with a carved stamp of your own or via venmo etc.

Greetings LFADers. I received info that most of the boxes in my series, A Lifetime of Obsessions! 'psych' , are in need of serious maintenance. Since I now live 1000 miles away, I am asking that if any of you are in the vicinity of one or more of the boxes (including the fake and bonus), please grab them for me. I would like to fix them and replant closer to my current local. Thank you in advance. I miss New Hampshire terribly.

I didn't look for any other boxes besides the series. I need to spend a day or two in concord this spring based on all the new boxes.
You can follow our footprints all over meadow crmetery. Let me know if we were close.
Also never found the triple trunk for the bonus.

you were at the wrong cemetery for gus' box. there are 2 meadow cemeteries. the other one is on the other side of the road and just a bit down the road headed towards concord. it would not have done you any good to be at the right one as there is a padlock on the gate. my guess is seeing as there is no road through the cemetery itself, and the graves are all flat, they don't want people there during the winter. i will get it when the lock comes off.

you were at the right tree for the fake esp box, i followed your footsteps. :) the box itself is in the fork of the tree, frozen solid. too much ice to even get under it and pry it out. will have to wait til the spring thaw comes.

i was able to pry sunshiny fruity goodness out and have it here.

foxfriend ....... send me a private message with your address and i will get it off in the mail for you.

Hello my dear letterboxing friends!

For those of you who remember, I created a Dead Celebrities graveyard a few years back and it was a pretty big hit! But then I went through a divorce, sold my house, and moved to CO for a few years. Now I'm back, but I don't have anywhere to display the gravestones. I'm currently moving into a house, but it's on Hanscom AFB so it doesn't make sense for me to keep these gravestones (they have been sitting in storage for a while).

I'm looking to see if any of my letterboxing friends want to adopt this series. The stamps are great and the gravestones are still in decent shape. This series is a little dated, but maybe this could be someones project to add on to! If that ends up being the case, I claim carving Carrie Fisher's stamp.

I'll be posting this on the Maine and Massachusetts boards as well :)

Just noticed that on the new boxes widget. We were up there a month ago, but looks like we have another excuse to visit that part of the state again. ;) Not sure it'll happen before winter sets in, but something to look forward to for sure...

Even though the Keene Pumpkin Festival is going to be a much smaller event this year, I decided it needed a letterbox.
I have missed this yearly event and the box it fostered.
Sooooooo-----I have just planted a new one for 2017. Thanks to Jim for keeping this alive and well and ready for visitors anytime!

Just a heads up to those out and about in the Hooksett, NH area. A timber rattlesnake was found in Hooksett. If you hear a rattle while poking for a letterbox, note the area and notify fish and game of the location. These are endangered and should be left to the professionals to handle.

Be safe out there!
