Looking for suggestions for boxing in South eastern Idaho. Plan on being there for a day in September. Most likely staying in Pocatello. Any advice on hotel or sightseeing would be appreciated. Feel free to AQ Mail me.

I see you are going to be in Bozeman, too. What route are you planning on taking? I live in Island Park, Idaho, and can recommend some of my favorite finds, depending on your route.

Rather wide open at this point. I flying into Salt Lake City and spending probably most of a day boxing in SLC. Thought about heading up through Odgen and possibly over to Pocatello for the night. Then meandering through Yellowstone and on to Bozeman. Rather ambitious but I am allowing about 4 days to get there. Open to suggestions since it is hard to judge roads and realistic times.

It looks like that is on the way to Yellowstone on 20. That should work.

Any suggestions and hints would help. Because of my limited time, probably wouldn't be able to do an hiking. So looking for drivebys, indoors but would consider an up to one mile for an awesome box.

My sister and I live in Poky and would love to meet you! Recommended boxes...not too sure of many that aren't "out of the way". I've planted a few, they are kinda out of the way and involve walking...Aloha from Idaho is a great stamp that my sister carved though and it is a short walk...prob a mile round trip. There is a box by the Marriott that you could get...I haven't stayed at any hotels here in town though. We will be out of town the 1-3 and there is a gathering in Boise on the 19th so we will be gone then too...but anyway...good luck, have fun here, and safe travels!

We did find the nice "Aloha from Idaho" box, as well as another nice box by Trouble Bug in the Pocatello area. There are a few other boxes in/near Massacre Rocks SP or the American Falls area (20m west of Pocatello). There are some at the rest stop north of town in "Hell's Half Acre." There is rumor that Green Tortuga has a mystery box in Eastern Idaho too. We also found one in town by The Woodshed. We no longer live in Pocatello, but we did plant a few boxes while we were there, from McCammon to Pocatello to American Falls. We enjoyed hiking in the hills around town, so you will find that most of ours require a little hiking.

Enjoy!

There are a number of great letterboxes in West Yellowstone which will be on your way to Bozeman, MT. I was just up there last week and both of mine are present and accounted for, albeit lonely.

Thanks for the light bulb, Leviathan.
Irish Ref, if you're traveling on US 81 to West Yellowstone, I have lonely box #125684 mere steps from the Snake River. Stamp is not memorable (you'll understand why when you see it), but the location is awesome! It's just a short walk.

Season was very good. Season 2 is pretty bad so far. Not much hope for season 3 unless there is a D group.

BTW thinking of a Wayward Pines postal. Could plant them in Idaho in September.

Blackvelvetrav: You are always so clever and fun! What a great idea.

My relatives (probably about 50 of them) are in McCall this week, but I stayed home to hold that new granddaughter of mine this year. I'm hoping for a trip your way NEXT summer! -Yiker

As people level up, are you going to have some of the Pokemon escape their boxes? People find an empty box except for a note that says something like "Eevee has escaped!"

Thank you so much for spending months and months on ideas, carvings, brain teasers, event locations, creating unique locked boxes etc. I know the time, energy and love you dedicated to making the event special for all who attended and we really appreciate your contributions not only this year but also at events I have hosted with Pixie Dust Gal and at events you have planned in previous years. You always jump in with both feet to help and really add so much to the local Letterboxing community. The event was wonderful and I am still relishing all of your amazing carvings and LTC's.

I'm still awestruck at the number of Disney stamps you carved for this event! I didn't have the time or brain to comment on each of them individually, but want you to be rest assured they're all delightful! A few that really join the ranks of the Best of the Best are: "One Man's Dream, "Disney Couples Collage", "The Seven Dwarfs", and "Going to Disneyland". Your creativity in hand-made door prizes, and Brain-teaser clues left me speechless knowing they were all original concepts, ideas and work by you! Thanks for all the months of hard work and thought that went into making this event the success that it was. Forgive me for taking the "easy route" to many of the boxes. My body and mind weren't up to par with the energy and mental work required to obtain many of the boxes. I so appreciate the assist and understanding from fellow attendees and YOU in acquiring my treasured Disney stamps, most of which were carved by YOU. It was and still is mind-boggling. THANK YOU hardly seems enough for all you've done, but I am very grateful for your enthusiasm and dedication to this hobby that I love so much and seem so inept at! I had a great time thanks to Quilt Lady 2 for the ride and encouragement. I did go home exhausted!

I replied to your post because I didn't know how to create post of my own regarding "You Don't Know Disney"!
